Talk about out of the blue...I like Diaby, was looking forward to seeing him kick on this season. However that being said if we do let him go it wld be because we have a plan and if Emery approves it that's good enough for me right now till we know more.

£60m is great business, he did ok last year but for a record signing he was decent but nothing more. If he and his family haven't settles then thats understandable . We can quite easily replace him and his numbers to be honest. Him and Duran leaving for £100m gives us great funds to upgrade both .

I could see this one happening I thought he seemed like he maybe wasnt up for the Physcial battle in the prem could player techinally but I good see this happening and we will go and Get Chiesa for £25 million and he is a better player in my opinion.

If Diaby cost 40m amortised over a 5 year contract, Villa owe 32m still on the transfer as 8m was paid in last years books, if we sell at 60m does that mean an extra 28m toward psr as the 60m pays off the 32m owed leaving 28m profit, or am I definitely misunderstanding how psr works completely

I think it isn’t quite working out for MD at The Villa (too similar to Bailey is one reason). I think Unai may have better options in the transfer market but needs some money first. I see MD and Jacob R leaving this summer …

Good evening. I dont know if its true but for the conversation i will say i m a litte skeptical about some moves this year. Yes i have faith to the people in charge but i dont understand some things. First we will already have a big turnaround in the squad this year with many players coming and many going. That does not help much especially in a crucial year. I do believe Diaby will have a better season. As you say its a little bit weird. If this is true i hope they have already a replacement in line and a big player that will improve us. Surprised at the stats mate, the eye test it just seemed he was a bit weak and play broke down with him quite often. Seemed to be reluctant to run at players which he would do previously, however!! Same could be said of Leon Bakley after his first season. A bit of Unai magic dust could make him much better but I'm sure Mr Emery has exciting plans whatever is the decision.

With Bailey on the right anyway and with unbelievable feet and an eye for a goal, I don’t think Diaby would start that much. That second striker position I think we could cover with someone else and a better finisher. I wouldn’t be that bothered if he made the decision to go, I know Unai will bring in a quality quality replacement.

I'll be disappointed if this happens. I do think Diaby was always bought to replace Bailey in the team, with his injuries & inconsistency. But Leon had an outstanding season & Diaby was very patchy. With a season under his belt I thought he'd kick on...I'm not sure on this one if Emery & Monchi do move him on, unless he wants to go I think this is a mistake. Diaby has the potential to go the very top. The philogene links now make sense & why maybe we have indeed put our self in the picture to sign him. Not a sale I want to see
