This is a good product, but for my use cases the old Move on discount earlier this Summer was a better value and I'm glad I pulled the trigger.

@93ChayZ yes but if I already own Move 2, I want the option to use those instead of spending more money 👍🏾, making the speaker even more versatile.

Thanks for your feedback! Sonos Move 2 cannot be used as surround sound for a home theater system but you can group them with other speakers via the app. Like everything we do at Sonos, we have put a lot of thought into how we can support products while continuing to progress the Sonos system as a whole. Yet another so called review that fails to mention the lack of Google Assistant. I'm not sure what annoys me the most... Sonos for letting consumers down by this ommission or reviewers for apparently not noticing it 🤔

@@radiomyke Yeah the only reason I know is cuz I work in retail. This and the Era series of speakers don’t have google assistant either because Google & Sonos are in court

Google recently changed the technical requirements for Google Assistant on third party devices. We’re evaluating these requirements, and in the meantime will continue to prioritize work that builds on our vision of voice assistants all working concurrently. We remain hopeful that Google Assistant will be part of this ecosystem one day.

Would instantly buy it if you could use it as a surround sound speaker for ur TV setup. Don’t have that much space for a permanent speaker on my left. I Would install a permanent Era 300 to the left and for watching a movie put the Move on the left, high on the wall with the Sonos wallmount.

Is the midwoofer identical to Move 1 or is it a new midwoofer but the same size? Will there be more bass on the move 2 verses the move 1?

In addition to charging with the provided charging base, Move 2 can be charged on the go with a compatible USB-PD charger, which connects via the USB-C port on the back of the speaker. Is there a reason why we are spending so much on a speaker that doesn’t have Bluetooth stereo pairing? This was my biggest disappointment with the original move. Spent 800 bucks on two speakers expecting them to have this simple function.

I think the new Sonos move 2 has stereo paring in Bluetooth mode. I know the old one didn’t but I think the new one does

New features are mediocre, battery life improvement is nice. The missing features are crucial, removal of google assistant to control my smart home is a deal breaker. Same waterproof rating, and nearly the exact same design is also disappointing. Sadly after waiting, the Move 1 is the better option for me than the update that took 4 years.

DO NOT BUY- Good sound quality but difficult set up and connectivity issues. Wort thing is that after a couple of months the speakers will not connect to the app and you have to use the app to listen to any music. Just trashed over $1k in speakers and customer service did not respond for months after the 5 speakers I had bought had been in the landfill. Buy anything else that connects directly with Bluetooth.
