Wizard of Oz is a brand new themed area opening at Movie World in late 2024. It will feature two new Roller Coaster rides: Flight of the Wicked Witch and Kansas Twister, along with a lot of Wizard of Oz theming based on the 1933 classic film.

Thank you! Yeah, Oz is coming along better than what I was expecting. The park had a near perfect crowd level - not packed but busy enough to have an atmopshere

I really hope that the Wizard of Oz Land has plenty of theming and stuff to see and do...I myself am fine with just themed coasters lol...but for my mom...huge Wizard of Oz fan...her mother named her Dorothy after the book...and got her a signed 1st edition copy of The Wizard of Oz by Frank Baum, which she still has...so it would be nice to take her out there for an Australia trip eventually!

Yeah, I wouldn't expect Disney or Universal theming level for the land sadly, but here's hoping what is included is still high quality. I'll be sure to film as much of it as possible to let folks know! and wow, a signed copy of the book? That's awesome, what a special gift

@@ThemeParkOgre Oh yeah I definitely do not expect some super high end theming...but a nice place to sit and eat...some cool set pieces etc would be nice. It would be more of an excuse to take my mom out for an Australia trip and that would be something else to see while there as well! Yeah its crazy...that Oz book and the signature are well over 100 years old!

Oops. I was referring to Batman Legacy (which was always temporary). I'm not sure what is going to happen to the Studio Showcase itself - will monitor it for sure!

It made a lot more sense when the DC Villains area was also western themed! Having the Studio Showcase randomly sitting in the middle doesn't really fit either (or the Banana carnival game haha)
