FILM DESCRIPTION:
Idris Elba (Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, The Suicide Squad) stars in a pulse-pounding new thriller about a father and his two teenage daughters who find themselves hunted by a massive rogue lion intent on proving that the savannah has but one apex predator. Elba plays Dr. Nate Daniels, a recently widowed husband who returns to South Africa, where he first met his wife, on a long-planned trip with their daughters to a game reserve managed by Martin Battles (Sharlto Copley, Russian Doll series, Maleficent), an old family friend and wildlife biologist. But what begins as a journey of healing jolts into a fearsome fight for survival when a lion, a survivor of blood-thirsty poachers who now sees all humans as the enemy, begins stalking them.

The cinematography of Martin hunting the lion was just amazing. Not to mention that this is one of my favorite scenes.

Martin being the experienced one should have first taken Nate and his family to safety and then come back with a hunting party in search of the rogue. Instead, he foolishly goes after the lion while leaving a bunch of inexperienced individuals out an about with a killer lion on the loose.

Imanol Lopez Romero: "hunting party"? They are not hunters or poachers, they should have called more rangers who protect the animals and arrest those guilty of the death of the dominant leader lion's pride

@@Alma-vs3tz -You’re right the poachers got the ball rolling. But Martin tried to solve the situation by himself while surrounded by inexperienced people (Nate and his family). Martin needed to 1st get them out of harms way and get backup (other rangers) then go after the rogue.

He is in the middle of resting place he knows it panic what to do and sniper tower is just few meters away from him.. lol he coud climb up sit for while to spot lion and just hit his heart in good moment.. but hollywood made holyshi* again :DDD

While the idea of lions that hunt humans may seem unlikely, the events of Beast did actually happen in Kenya in 1898 by a pair of maneless lions called the Tsavo Man-Eaters

Leopards on the Indian sub continent take far more lives of humans than lions do. They now hunt in the poorest parts of cities.

He's not brave at all, he's stupid.. I'm sure he saw at least 2-3 crocs ran off into the water when he was approaching them right?? What does he think, he's hunting a lion, so the crocs wouldn't attack him?? Maybe he thinks they will just give him a free pass to eliminate one of their competitors for them..
