I'm going both - I think they're vampires, or at least the girl is (boy is her 'familiar' , the human they make their puppet?) who drain the blood of the victim, then sell the organs. Just not sure why they didn't kill Winona Ryder's character too.......

That's a lot of plot development in that trailer- almost a full episode's worth. Having said that, it almost seems to unfold to some of the same beats as "The Night House."
