Q: Why is the video in TWO Parts?
A: Copyright reasons. I can show more of the movie to you guys within multiple parts. Depending on the movie I might do THREE parts or sometimes just ONE.
Q: Why is a small portion of the video completely muted?
A: Copyright reasons. Sometimes I get hit with copyright claims AFTER the video has already been posted, my only choice is to refute the claim but if KZfaq denies it, I have to either take down the video or mute the small portion they are claiming. If the video has been up for a while, it is much easier for me to mute this small portion in the YT studio and then unmute it months later after people aren't watching the video as much.
Q: Why is the movie not as loud as I want it to be, why can't you show more of it uncut?
A: Copyright reasons. Notice a pattern here? Most of your questions will likely be answered with some type of copyright related reason.
Q: Why is the movie footage flipped?
A: Again, copyright reasons. I am watching the movie the normal way, it is only flipped for the video.

This movie is ahead of its time in every way: * It didn't have a love story * It was a superhero movie that took everything seriously with its R-Rating, even before Deadpool proved its efficiency * It had action scenes that became popular with The Matrix (Before The Matrix was even made) * Even the cinematography made it look like it was made recently, despite being 20 years old

Was actually above an R Rating. Its an NC-17/18 UK. Spawn was another good Superhero movie that is quite action packed with a high rating. The effects were shoddy, but had a really good storyline with relaxed pacing.

"Some motherfuckers are always trying to ice-skate uphill." While this movie is good and fun, the immediate sequel is even better. Fun Fact: Quinn originally had a much smaller role, but Donal Logue was so funny onset that his character was expanded and he was allowed to ad-lib a good portion of his dialogue.

I can already tell the new MCU Blade won't be as bloody and gory as this (I mean it's a vampire movie, it needs to be both of those things, it needs to have that gothic/horror vibe).

"Who decided the lore?" They're mythical beasts. People used to actually believe in them. A lot of it is folklore that goes back centuries. Variations of them exist in nearly every culture around the world. BUT: Bram Stoker was the one who decided they could turn into bats. Previously they could only turn into wolves.

The craziest thing about this franchise is I never once thought it was a marvel movie. But that was when I was a kid 😂.I feel like the the logo popped up on one of em.

Yeah Marvel didn't really support the first 2 Blade films, until they saw how much money they made. When Blade: Trinity was released in theaters 🎥 big logo in the opening scene Marvel 🙄🙄🙄🙄 They didn't give Wesley Snipes really in my opinion no credit, for single handedly giving Marvel the push to make more films. Because remember at that point Marvel was bankrupt, and they sold all there A & B list characters.

Blade is not really a superhero, he's more of an anti-hero. He does protect humans, but he doesnt particularly like or respect them very much, especially when they give him attitude. He's half vampire so he's got a bit of self-loathing issues. But he absolutely HATES ALL VAMPIRES.

Unfortunately I know they won't be able to find anybody who can pull off the character like Wesley Snipes did. He was All world awesome as Blade. Just as perfect as Val Kilmer doing Doc Holliday. So all we can hope for is a competent performance from the next guy.

Not saying it can't be a good popcorn flick or even fun to watch based just on how bad it is but as an actual movie with a plot its not good. I'd compare it to something like those stupid twilight movies or that God awful Godzilla movie from like 98 or whenever it was

Deacon Frost was a formidable villain, but Jared Nomak on the other hand 😏 Definitely need to watch the sequel. The new Blade is going to be soo weak in comparison to this trilogy. First off this is an NC-17/18 UK rating, and they will probably water the new Blade down and make it less dark and gritty. Without a doubt they'll be making it a PG13 to fit into their MCU, which is absurd. Secondly no one can fill the shoes of Mr Snipes.

In the Blade universe vampires do age they just age slower than humans.

In the movie universe vampire do age. In the comics they do not age. Blade is the only one that ages slowly in the comics. Comic Blade was born in 1922 London England making him a 100 years old. Despite that he still looks like a man in his 30s. In the comics in an alternate universe a evil Hannibal King lived for a million years before being killed by blade.

A comic book blade was just immune to vampire mind control because of his mother being bitten. For the movie they expanded that a bit.

Howard the Duck (1986) was the only Marvel movie released in theaters before Blade although many people also consider Captain America serials from 1944 as the 1st movie. There were several direct-to-video and television films made from the 70's until the 90's including Spiderman, Dr. Strange, Captain America, Hulk, Punisher, Fantastic Four (which was so bad they made it but never released it), Generation X and Nick Fury.

In the 1990s there was a movie called Dr Mordred that came out. According to rumors it was supposed to be a Doctor Strange movie but they couldn't get the license. So they changed the name. It was low budget and direct the video but it was fun.

Starring Wesley Snipes as Blade. A vampire who can survive in the sun due to his mother being bitten by a vampire when she was pregnant with him. As an adult, Blade hunts other vampires with one in particular is trying to become the most powerful vampire of them. Not if Blade has anything to say about it

It was awesome him finding out blades mom was still alive. You could tell by the look on his face that he was searching his soul, nay, his entire being....trying to figure out how the heck she was still alive. The look on his face was priceless. I know her literal name is karen. But how funny is it in this day and age, knowing what a Karen is. How funny it is when he said " Karen has come to the rescue".

1998 - Blade - this was the beginning of the current comic-book-movies-dominated box office era. Before this it was common knowledge that only Superman or Batman could make money at the box office. Other movies based on comic books were niche, direct-to-video, or terrible films that flopped at the box office.

Somehow this came out before The Matrix. But the proximity that they came out meant neither one could have possibly ripped off the other. Blade was August 1998. The Matrix was March of 1999. The Matrix was filming in 1997. Blade was supposed to be released in 1997 but was delayed a year to redo the ending. It was just the aesthetic of the era I guess. Or the ones that started it..

Everyone thinks that it all started with Dracula, but it actually started with a penny dreadful magazine series in Victorian times around the 1840s about Varney the Vampire. That fiction series codified vampires.

Have you watched. Sin City (2005), 300(2006), The Crow(1994), The The Mask Of Zorro (1998), The Phantom(1996), & Dredd (2012)? These are comic book movies I haven't seen you react to.

@@MovieFusion I recommend you react to The Mask Of Zorro, The Phantom, & The Crow. Nobody has reacted to The Mask Of Zorro & The Phantom that I've seen. You'll like these characters because they came before Superman & Batman. Zorro was came out in 1919 & The Phantom came out in 1936 while Superman came out in 1938 & Batman came out in 1939. The Crow came out in 1989.

Definitely gotta watch sin city. There's comic book movies and then there's this absolute masterpiece of film making. All these in the list are great apart from the phantom which comes across as a children's movie. Don't get me wrong, I friggin love the ghost who walks but no film studio has been able to make him relevant to modern day audiences. Maybe they could do a phantom 2040 adaptation.

Loved Zorro since the days of my black and white TV haha, now there is a movie series that has been successfully rebooted for a modern audience. Best sword fighting movie - the duellists by Ridley Scott, think it was his first movie and then within 5 years he made alien and Blade runner.

I get the instinct to say that the music in Blade is "totally Matrix." Just to throw this out there: Blade came out a year before The Matrix did - but only seven months earlier. And they were both kind of on the tail end of that era of dance/electronic music (different than the EDM we think of now). It's very Lords of Acid, and they were releasing things very similar to this - complete with ... spicy ... lyrics - in the early-to-mid 90s. If you're interested, their Voodoo-U album is worth a check. I think the Mortal Kombat song came out in '95. Take care.

When I compare something, it is not to say they are "copying" the thing I am comparing it to, it is merely just a comparison. So, the date of when things released doesn't really matter. I saw Matrix first, therefore when watching this some of the music reminded me of Matrix.

And I also kind of left it open by stating it was only 7 months between releases, so depending on shooting/post schedules and how they approached the music, there's an outside chance that Matrix actually did have it's music first. Btw, never cared for the Matrix stuff. It always seemed long on gimmicks and short on story. But I never really got caught up in Star Wars either, so I'm definitely an outlier at times. Take care.

A lot of old world vampire lore comes from religion. Sunlight, Silver, Garlic and Holy Water. They are the main ones. Silver is considered a pure metal. Garlic is a blood thinner, so it's bad for blood drinkers. Sunlight aka The light of God, lethal to the "soulless" or "damned". Holy Water, obvious. 🖤 The Nosfuratu movie was 1922. They were experimenting with colours, it was a marvel of its time.

If you like vampire type movies you should check out Buffy the vampire slayer, the movie is necessary to understand what's going on in the series but the series is WAY better than the movie and is honestly one of the greatest series ever created

After the Blade trilogy other great superhero movies that you should react to are Hellboy (2004) Hellboy 2 the golden army (2008) and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles the movie (1990) i highly recommend them.
