Q: Why is the video in TWO Parts?
A: Copyright reasons. I can show more of the movie to you guys within multiple parts. Depending on the movie I might do THREE parts or sometimes just ONE.
Q: Why is a small portion of the video completely muted?
A: Copyright reasons. Sometimes I get hit with copyright claims AFTER the video has already been posted, my only choice is to refute the claim but if KZfaq denies it, I have to either take down the video or mute the small portion they are claiming. If the video has been up for a while, it is much easier for me to mute this small portion in the YT studio and then unmute it months later after people aren't watching the video as much.
Q: Why is the movie not as loud as I want it to be, why can't you show more of it uncut?

Much like scream 3 certain people like scream 4 more because there's more bodies and it's a little bit more gory but I don't like the fact that we didn't get to know the characters as well I don't hardly remember anyone's name from that but I'm not saying they're bad movies I'm just saying it's not what I prefer from the franchise I definitely enjoy them but not as much as the first two where I feel like I've known those people forever but it's different with those I did enjoy the backstory in three but there was certain things that were a little clunky and again it's not bad it's just not as good as the first two

The original concept for Scream 3 , was Stu coming back and training an army of young serial killers to kill Sydney. This concept of the movie was scrapped because of Columbine tragedy in 1999.

I’ve always really enjoyed 3. People mostly complain about the voice changer, which sure it doesn’t make sense, but it helps add the suspense of “Is this the killer or is this an actual person” kinda vibe. I like the reveal and the backstory as well, makes for a pretty good twist.

It’s the weakest of the four, and not just because of the voice changer. The dream sequence was a bad “got cha moment.” The fact that she all of a sudden has this long lost brother like something out of a soap opera. Roman having a fake death. All of these moments were poor very poor. The movie is still good, but definitely the weakest.

I love the third film, but that’s because it was the first one I watched and the fact that it referenced old hollywood and the open secrets of creepy castings directors. I thought it was fun and campy, which is what scream was always meant to be. Gale’s hair is so scary tho

Love that Sid wears the Frat necklace from SCREAM 2 that Derek gave her. It’s a nice touch. Also… Neve accidentally really stabbed Roman in the back with the ice pick and his reaction is real. Fun fact.

As an OG "Scream" fan, I really hate that this movie gets trashed by "Scream" fans. If this is the worst "Scream", this was pretty damn good. Yes, it had a different writer but the feel was the same, the delivery was well done and overall, was a fun ride. Watching this in the theater back in 2000 was SO much fun. My audience was crazy ready for this movie.

As an OG Scream fan then you would really hate the clunky back story and exposition of the Prescott family. Having Billy and Stew just be puppets cheapens the thrill. It's not that Scream 3 itself is bad, there were a few pretty bad parts, but what it does to the over all story is awful.

So even though the voice changer doesn't exist in real life, it could theoretically work in the film. The idea is that Roman had access to film technology and was able to get recordings of people's voices and downloaded them to the voice changer. Yeah, it's a stretch, but it's also a movie. I actually love the voice changer. The third film was originally meant to be the end of the series. Angelina was originally going to be the second killer. That's why she seems suspicious. The killer reveal in this film is actually my favorite of the franchise.

The retcon was a bad addition. Him convincing Billy and Stu. Awful addition to the story. Him being her brother. Another bad addition. Those two “twists” were bad twists.

What's scary is David Arquette was only born in 1971 but ALWAYS looks old/older. He still wasn't even 30 by the time they were done with 3 and it came out. And he basically was the same age as his character throughout

This movie was being written/shot when the Columbine incident happened so most of the deaths are just simple, non-gory, back-stabs.

Honestly I very much would like to see him do the saw series after he gets done with scream so he can tell the difference the saw series makes the scream series look like it was made for PBS and again the first three movies of the saw series are classic after that they sort of run together but again they're not bad movies they're just not as good as the other ones and you do learn more backstory as you go along it is a very good series I own all of them on DVD with the exception of spiral which I'm going to order on DVD

Sidney isn't just one of the best final girls, she is THE BEST one! Think about how many fights and chases she has survived through the series, and almost all through skill and grit. She rarely had someone save her or escape by luck. And the attacks actually strengthened her character through the movies too, they made her braver, more resourceful and more ready to use her experiences to help others.

Has anyone seen a movie, ever? I guess they hate every James Bond movie then, cause the villains' plans tend to always be non existent technology. So many movies have the same thing. What?

Yeah… the voice changer is a big issue for a lot of people because even in 2021 that type of technology doesn’t even exist now, at least not with that level of perfection and authenticity; I do love this movie though for it’s humor, and the continuation of Sidney, Dewey, and Gale’s stories.

I think the reason people strongly dislike this movie is because of the simple fact that it wasn’t written by Kevin Williamson like the first two were. At the time, KW was busy working on Dawson’s Creek and I think he had written a treatment or outline or something of what Scream 3 was supposed to be, but because of columbine, they thought it would be in poor taste to make it so violent. The original plot was that Stu was actually alive and in prison, but had constructed an entire cult to go after Sid. It was supposed to be a lot more violent, bloody, and more mean spirited. They hired Aaron Krueger to write the script and a whole bunch of people also wanted their piece of the script pie, so it was pretty much just a case of too many cooks. The new script where both Roman and Angelina as the killers was leaked online, so they instead had to trash that and rewrite it. They kept going through rewrites, so that scene where Jenny McCarthy is pissed about the rewrites, that was probably something that was said on set quite a bit. I think another big reason people don’t like it as much is because it feels more like a scooby doo episode than a scream movie with how much it leans into the camp. Plus, people weren’t happy about the fact that Neve Campbell was only in it for like a quarter of the movie because at the time she was also busy with other projects. Lastly, they don’t like how Roman being the mastermind kind of negates everything that happened in Scream 1. It was no longer about some legit psycho kids killing just for shits & grins. It was because Roman, by Scream 3’s canon was the mastermind. Personally, I love this movie, but I do see why a lot of people think it’s the weakest of the series.

Matthew lillard that played stu was at a scarefest scream panel and talked about how the plan had been to have stu orchestrating high school killings but that it had to be scrapped because of the columbine massacre

Usually when ppl discuss Scream.. groups are yelling Scream 1,2 and 4 in that order...then another group yells, no it's Scream 1, 4, and 2...in that order!, then one person whispers... I actually like scream 3 .. You are now, that guy.

Three things that I love about this franchise: 1. Ghostface is a actual human person that's killing people. Like you pointed out its not like a Freddy Krueger, Jason or Michael Myers. Scream is something that can actually happen in real life and that's what makes it relatable and frightening. Thats actually how Kevin created "Scream" by basing the plot loosely on the 1990 case of the Gainesville Ripper. Making Ghostface somewhat clumsy also made it as a realistic human. (Also, the robe is very easy to trip over.) I love the mystery of who done it. 2. The self awareness and rules about horror movies and how Wes Craven and Kevin Williamson plays on it. 3. Typically in horror movies its always the killer that continues on the franchise with a whole new cast to kill off. But in Scream it's the opposite its the "final girl" who carries on the franchise who's fighting against different killers who's portraying as Ghostface. - it's interesting with Ghostface how he seems intimidating and unkillable when hiding behind the mask. But once it comes off for the revealing it's like he or she become vulnerable and then ends up getting killed. It's kind of like how people hide behind computer and phone screens they come off as aggressive and intimidating always picking a fight. But then when comes to dealing one on one in person exposed they become complete opposite and are actually weak.

What’s surprising to me about this film is how much it speaks to the mistreatment of women in Hollywood and Harvey Weinstein was a (very interfering) producer on all of them. It’s not a great film but I like the story it tried to tell and Jennifer is forever iconic.

People forget that this franchise is a satire on slasher films while being a slasher film. And this one was the biggest satire of them all, the third film in every franchise is usually not as good. This was done purposefully lol when you realize that, you appreciate this part of the installment. People take this third one way too seriously when in reality it's part of the satire and Wes knew EXACTLY what kind of film he was making. PS Parker Posey is and was a comedic genius

Yes your suspicions are correct ANGELINA was the 2nd killer but roman got rid of her so she wouldn't say anything... That was also in the original script before stuff changed!! You can also tell since her creepy parts are still in the final film & you can obviously tell at certain parts there are two killers.. fixes up some plot holes.

No, they had a completely different story because Kevin Williamson wrote a different outline but when it came to the 3rd being green lit, he had other things to do and had to turn it down so they hired Ehren Kruger (transformers, The Ring) and he wrote this story, and re-writes were done on the day of filming the scene and it was the filming that got toned down, not the story itself

They added in the proposal at the end because that was the same year Courtney Cox and David Arquette got married in real life. Their love story literally follows the Scream franchise lol. They met during Scream, Started dating while making Scream 2, got married same time as Scream 3, Still married for the 4th. It was after Scream 4 when they got separated and divorced.

The guy who played Tyson is probably on the poster because he was in Sister Sister as one of the boyfriends at the time, so he was kinda big. He also played the "token black character" in Not Another Teen Movie, which was also around the time of this movie's release, if I'm not mistaken.

Fun fact about the original plan for this movie: In a way, the killer was originally gonna be Stu from Scream 1. Apparently he wasn’t killed, but arrested and serving time in prison. The twist was he was orchestrating all the killings, and basically had a cult that worshipped the Woodsboro murderers and killed for him. It was gonna have a LOT of killers…BUT Columbine school shooting happened super recently, and in light of that they scrapped the script and made it the Hollywood story it is now. Sydney’s actress was gonna be a killer.

I think one of the best parts of this movie is Jennifer Jolie her character is just iconic

I like when you said it was Saw 3 at end of the movie. Instead of saying Scream 3. Scream 3 was fun and I enjoyed it. I agree with your opinion 👍

I'm just a random brazilian guy and I discovered your channel because of your reaction to the first movie of Scream and since then i've been watching all your older reactions to the movies i like and I got say, I really really like your channel and how you are so invested in the sound of the movies and how you pay attention to the details, great job dude, you def worth my subscription 🥰 and answering your question, me as a fan of the franchise really dont hate this movie but i like so much more the others movies than this one, so....

I really like Scream 3. Always have. I like it more then the second one. But 4 is definitely my favorite.

The original Scream 3 concept was that: Stu was still alive, after had been manwhiched by a TV lol, and now he was orchestrating the murders by playing Jigsaw sorta speak to some high school kids to become killers and lure Sidney to him. And it would all take place in Woodsboro. Because of Columbine that didn't happen. BUT the writer Kevin Williamson flourish that idea into his show The Following with Kevin Bacon; which was a great series.

I’ll never understand the hate of this specific film. The first two are definitely better, but scream 3 is banger too! Scream is definitely the most consistent franchise in the horror genre when it comes to quality movies after the original. I don’t think any of them are bad.

People are so dramatic about this movie. It's a solid third entry. Yes, it's watered down. Yes, it's flawed, but it's still a fun movie. I think the third act is the saving grace. Really enjoy the whole ending.

I love them all!! Number 4 is my favorite after the first so I can't wait to see your reaction! Each movie brings something different to the series! So glad you're enjoying them and that you don't let other peoples opinions influence YOUR opinion. All the SCREAM movies are fun! And Sid is my favorite last girl ever!!!!

I actually liked this one more than some people, it had some cool scenes, like the movie set chase and the secret passage chases.

Billy did kill Sid's mother, because Roman put him up to it, so in Roman is largely responsible. Kinda ridiculous storyline IMO!

it's not a ridiculous storyline. That's actually a good storyline. When I saw SCREAM in theatres, i was wondering how he found out because there was NO mention of him catching his dad sleeping with another woman or anything. If I was to go by your thought process, Billys motive is out of the blew just like Roman's motive. so I should find Billy's motive stupid too lol The only way Roman's storyline is stupid is if Billy told Sidney, I caught my dad cheating on my mom. or, something. Even in the original Scary Movie script its not mentioned. soo.

How is that ridiculous? Roman was mad at Maureen but didn't want to kill her himself so he exposed her affair with Billy's father to Billy, so Billy wanted to kill her. Roman manipulated Billy.

Agreed. The Roman retcon was horrible addition to the franchise. And him being her long lost half brother. Those two additions to the story were really poor twists.

I enjoyed this one too. I didn't like Cotton dying though. Loved the ending where the killer almost could not be killed lol. They amped it up a lot there just like Randy said would happen.

@@thewinner7382 I think Scream 3 lacks something because the main characters are all adults. The teens in Scream 4 add something different to the films. I cared more about the characters in all the other movies. But still love 3.

@@thewinner7382 I'm not sure why I liked scream 4 better, I just do. I think the cast was good and Jill being completely psychotic was both creepy and entertaining in my opinion. I really don't like Emma Robert's as a person, but she is decent at acting so I gotta give her that. I'm also a fan of Rory Culkin and Hayden Panettiere and really enjoyed the story between them.

OK .... looking back and rewatching it .... it is actually a very underrated sequel!!! .... this was made at a hard time in America and there were complications while filming 1. Both Neve Campbell & Courtney were on small breaks fr. both the TV shows they were in at the time. 2. Wes has problems w/ script pages being leaked ( this was still the beginning of internet chatroom days) so he had to watermark each of the scripts w/ the actor's name on it ... then had a person go to their house each morning then pick the script up each night ... that way if a page was leaked he would see the name it ( at least that's what I've heard.... Please feel free to correct my info) 3. The Colombine High Mass Shooting had just happened a year prior and they had a lot of problems w/ the parent groups and the MPAA and the whole "Violence in Movies" so Wes had to do a whole bunch of re-shoots and tone down a lot of the blood and violence

Scream 3 to me was great, It brought alot of modernity to the franchise. Storyline was good in my opinion. I liked this one.

I actually love Scream 3 especially with the back story of Maureen. Reason why Dewey was working on set he was there as under cover because someone ransacked the file room at the police station in Woodsboro trying to find Sidney.

From what I understand the killer calls the few peoples he can imitate before hand. Than the device analyse each person voice waves to be able to imitate them.. the killer called Cotton before he was able to imitate him before killing Christine. Same with Sidney and Dewey... Roman's is obvious its his voice, but he probably called Dewey for works so he was able to imitate his voice after analyzing his voice waves... it was wayyyy too advance for its time but cool

Yup and he most likely got Maureens voice from when she did the acting in Hollywood from like the archives and stuff that she was in like on tapes.
