Has anyone compared the Atmos track on the Lionsgate to the 5.1 HD master audio on the Italian 4Kult 4K release? Is the 5.1 a different track to the previous 1080P blu rays?

I just bought it and got it today before seeing this review. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to hold off on watching because Best Buy has had my surround receiver/amplifier that I bought last October in repair for three weeks. It went on the blink just as I was finishing up my small home theater room which included a new 85 inch TV. Really aggravating.

This movie has stood the test of time. Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze make movie magic with the sultry dance moves. The choreography and the music make this a ride you will not want to get off of. Now considered a cult classic, it has spawned a television series, Broadway production and most recently a remake (that was horrific). Fantastic piece of celluloid history that ought to be revisited every now and again. 4kmovies co

Thnx so much for the review. Dont know if its worth getting the 4K blu ray if i dont have a 4k Tv. I have a 4k player, though. Im assuming some of the improvements will show up on a standard 1080 tv? Your thoughts plse.

You can only connect your 4k player to a none 4k TV via a standard HDMI cable, you won't be able to watch 4kUHD discs but the blu rays should connect nicely and they may be upscaled to look a little better, this set comes with the blu ray disc too and you have the 4k disc if you ever buy a 4k TV in the future, and also this gorgeous steelbook is the added incentive to buy, but it's worth noting that this particular film on 4k is only a subtle upgrade as Adam said here, this film looks perfectly fine on either a blu ray disc or when viewed on Netflix

Two things: One, what deserves a 4K release is entirely subjective. Two, more 4K releases, no matter the title, help the format thrive. As 4K fans, we all want that.
