I think it is an unfair comparison. HBO have all the rights to portray the dance of dragons which is one of the best parts of GRRM works. Amazon is not given the rights to the best of Tolkien book Silmarillion. Amazon made the ROP taking scraps from the LOTR books and they have to expand the stories themselves. All of the epic battles and stories of the first age are inaccessible.

@@Chris-hp9be nonetheless, you can tell by comparing both shows that HOTD was made with more quality, whether that’s the dialogue or the special effects

@@adamalibi1129 the special effects of ROP are amazing. Numenor, the orc costumes/makeup and even Khazad dum was much better than LOTR. The fundamental flaw with ROP is that since the producers cannot use materials from the Silmarillion they make up their own stories which are far from the books and it all went downhill.

@@Chris-hp9be the producers were still responsible for crafting a good story with good dialogue and engagement. I was not able to pass by the first 2 episodes because of the lack of engagement

but Alicent is very smart. she pretended to misunderstand because she knows very well that the story the king was telling is the story she told his daughter.

@@riccardograziani9236 I think not. Alicent, misinterpreted. Those last words about the Song of Ice and Fire were meant to answer Rhaenyra's question which he failed to answer at the night before the petitions. Aegon's Dream was meant to be told only to Targaryen Bloodline. Alicent thought this was Visery's final decision for their son (Aegon) which is completely wrong.

i re watched the episode and when the king is struggling in the throne room and Alicent offered the tea the King said No i dont want it to clogged my mind as i need a cleqr head. Alicent chose to misinterpret it for her cause. She is still the same gilr that think she is forced ny circumstances as an excuse for heraction

@@michellenbayot3395 And the Queen had him drink the milk of the poppy just before he started on his statement. He was quite intoxicated as he missed a few doses already as he refused it a couple times in the episode. He was tripping out when he spoke just before expiring.

@@trolluu2368 Dude we don't have to see the dragons every time. This show is mostly focused on politics, inheritance problems and war. You will see dragons more in next episodes don't worry.

@@Reneebenson In episode 8? No not really action, but I must say the character writing is the best so far in 8. Also is probably the emotional and moody episode so far. 9 looks to be crazy though.
