there is an old persian movie called "The Willow Tree" almost like this , a calm and loving blind professor with a loyal wife who spends years living with his situation , then he get's surgery and falls in love with a pretty and young woman , his wife leaves him ,and the way he changes wreckes most of his life , What brought luck to him, snatches all his glorious memories and turns him into something he never thought he'd become.

She is good. She is very good. Glad I saw this movie. Dont know what to make of it but I would recommend it hands down. Came away hating parts of it and absolutely loving Blake Lively (more when she was playing blind).

Should you watch this? Short answer YES! I will get into detail about the movie, But there will be Spoilers be warned! This movie Is absolutely amazing one of the best I have watched for a long long time, The actors firstly did amazing especially Blake as usual stunning. I can only think of one negative: The trailer shows too much, so before even watching the movie I built up a hatred for the man caring for her as It's seen In the trailer that he Is sort of evil, I feel like emotion for characters should be built up throughout the movie and change, but since we have seen the trailer we already hate him. If you'd just watched the movie from the start, you'd respect him because he cares for her so much even though shes blind, takes her out etc and generally looks after her and loves her, so your respect for him would slowly turn Into hate, which Is what movies and books try to do, make you feel for the characters, but as mentioned before I already felt a lot of hate for him from the trailer, so I didn't get to develop anything, or see him as loving at the start which Is what the movie tried to show. The way the girl regains her sight Is beautiful and they portrayed it very well, she was experiencing things, wanted to go places and seeing the beauty of the world and life for the first time In ages, really made me feel happy for the character. The trailer also makes the movie come off as creepy or as a horror, for me anyway, but It's far from that It's about a girl experiencing getting her vision back and being so joyful, but her husband doesn't like It because she Is going off exploring, making herself up to go out, wearing revealing clothes because she hasn't seen herself since little, and suddenly she sees again and she's this beautiful developed woman, which her husband doesn't like. I won't spoil what he does but trust me, even though we already have low tolerance for him from the trailer, What he does will make you hate him a lot. The movie jumps around a lot too, you see so many different things, which is realistic as someone who regains their vision after being blind Is going to explore the world. If I hadn't seen the trailer beforehand, the development from a loving relationship to an abusive one would be magnificent, even though I watched the trailer It still was the development was so so good. You should for sure watch this, amazing movie.
