... June 14th, 1975 i was in Markham, Illinois at the KENWORTH dealer. The Sonny Pruitt truck was there; had my picture taken while i sat in the drivers seat. When i got home, my grandmother had passed away . The KENWORTH had a 903 V-8 Cummins engine. Started trucking in May, 1976, still out here ... .. ...... .. .

Yup, one of my favorite shows also as a kid. I was about 10 years old when this was on. I built lot of model cars as a kid, and I Remember building a model of this truck.. Also around the same time, CB radios were all the rage. I have to say if I could go back and be a kid again , I would certainly do it. Good memories for sure.

GREAT series from the mid-'70s. It was made for intelligent people that could pay attention to the story, and to details. It would/could NEVER be made today, just for those reasons alone.

In my teens watching this show. , and fifty years later I’m still driving truck and watching the replays that influenced me. Three semis I have at work, the old 1979 Kenworth is my favourite and the most reliable, built in the same year as I started driving.

In 1973 and 74 we would go out to my friend's dad's Ford F-250 with a construction rack he was a concrete construction man. In that pick up it was like the most awesome world it had optional air conditioning that was down below the dash, he had a CB radio that really worked set 📐 up swr , the only mobile telephone that we of would get on the CB radio & "the mobile " and make prank calls a few times 🙄 .. For quite a few years a good majority of people in our town had CB radios you would communicate that way quite often and apparently as night went on the more people got on the CB too.

In '75 or so one of the Pruitt Kenworths was on display in OKC at a shopping center called Windsor Hills Mall. Like others here they let me hop up in the sleeper and behind the wheel for some photos. Makes a little kid feel 10 feet tall. Wasn't long before AMT came out with the Movin' On model kit and I bought it from that same mall, either at the hobby shop or the ol' TG&Y. I looked it up and there were only 4 Kenworths used in filming the show, maybe I sat in the one starring in this episode?!
