This video was so nice to watch, Shaun, good job as always! I can relate to your feelings of wanting to be closer to family because I just moved back home to be with my family for a few months. Nothing really beats the memories that are made at home with loved ones and I hope you continue to have a rewarding time at home. Once again, I am really sorry for your loss. Take care!

Watching your videos for a few years now have shown me it’s possible to grow up to be a doctor from Vegas! Or at least someone living here! I’m starting nursing school in January, and will get my bsn, and then work on my pre med courses! You and some other students from Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine (shout-out Dahfney and Jordan and Maritza) have been huge inspirations for me! They’ve started residency now, but I always come back to your videos for comfort, and do show me it’s all really possible. Thank you for inspiring me to be a doctor. 💕

We love you Shaun! You’re such an inspiration. I’m graduating from college next year with a degree in Economics, but want to make a switch to medicine. I know taking pre-med courses and applying to medical school will be a lot of work, but seeing your videos inspire me to continue working towards my goal of becoming a doctor.

Sounds great and very good for your Mom. Also, nice to always have a home base where you don't have to constantly remove everything. For your residency move, you will not need your entire set up.

I felt the same way moving out! I’ve spent the last 3 years of my life there. But I think a change was much needed, and it’s a more stable place to be while I wait to apply to residency!

Awesome to hear you will be visiting Denmark! Make sure to try out as much food as possible, we eat very differently than Americans do. And everyone can pretty much speak English so feel free to just talk to people, we are a very chill bunch of people. If possible make sure to visit other cities than Copenhagen, it's not super representative of the rest of the country, but it is a pretty city for sure.

@@ShaunAndersen Gaming can be addictive, so good thing you have a residency ahead of you... my cousin got trapped because he also works remotely in his gaming room doing programming. I just thought it funny because he was a UNLV graduate, his parent's house looks almost identical, and I helped him repaint the bathroom when he moved in. Happy gaming and medical school.

Was there any aspect of your first three years of med school that you turned out to be different than what you expected?

Med school itself has honestly been exactly what I expected. I think what turned out to be different was how my priorities and outlook on life would change during this time. Different things are important to me now, and I think that just comes with getting older as we go through this process. Basically... make sure to focus on other aspects of you life as well and not just med school
