Safe method. Only concern is a short bolt. While turning a corner bolt unwinds. If won't do this because of its design then a longer bolt is easier to install, which makes it safer.

Those lugs the skates are bolted to are meant for anchoring the machine in place and should not be used to support the weight of the machine on those skates. I was a Rigger for many years and was not a fan of that style skate. The individual rollers are much too small and chock very easily. I preferred larger four wheeled skates with the wheels on all four corners.

Can you turn corners? Do the skates allow that? Seems they only allow for a straight line move?

May i know what is the maximum weight can be supported by this roller skids?

nelson lawrence Sorry for the late reply. The Mark 2P Roller Skid has an individual weight capacity of 2,500 lbs. The 4 units combined provides a weight capacity of 10,000 lbs which is more than enough to move the machine shown in the video.

What is the maximum load capacity you can push/pull with this system

In this video the Roller Skids are rated at a 5000 lbs individual capacity - 20,000 lbs max capacity with all 4 rollers. As far as pushing and pulling, the brunt of the pushing and pulling should never be made by the handles themselves, especially the heavier the load. The handles are meant more to steer the load. In the case of the video there are 2 guys sharing the load. The push/pull force of the (approximately) 4000 lbs machine resting on poly rollers and a smooth floor is reasonable. As a safety precaution always be aware that the handles could potentially unhook if the load is too heavy to pull.

@@creamcheese7845forklift hydraulics fail. Operator error, hydraulic leak…… does not matter. Never an ok practice for any reason. It’s always a gamble.

Except that guys that don’t have a forklift or a big shop need skates like these. It shows the ability to move heavy things around in tight spaces.

Do these rolers come with a manual showing correct use?

Currently our manuals provide descriptions of the parts that compose the roller skids, basic maintenance and warranty information along with an 800 number and email should there be any questions.
