Moving In Together After A Long Distance Relationship | WE MADE IT!

6 жыл бұрынLife post-LDR: What's it like to have a routine for the first time? Is it difficult to get adjusted to the other person's habits? Do you start fighting about little stupid things? Do you stop appreciating each other because you're together all the time? Or: How wonderful is it to finally get what you've been wanting for so long, and to be able to fall asleep and get up again next to the person you love?
Because Lilian was able to find an internship in Toronto, where Alexis lives, she moved in with her for the couple of months! We've spent the whole summer together traveling, which was an amazing time, but now we finally get to share a life together doing just the ordinary things. It may not be all rosy all the time, and we are going to show you what it's like: The ups and downs of living together after an LDR - or even just in general.

May I just note that by the end of our 3.5 months of living together, I was still left without a dresser and we found a nightstand that ALEXIS ended up using instead of me? Haha! - L

I wish this was available 25 years ago because I went from a long distance relationship to living together. I had no clue how to live with another woman. Alex and Lilian have taught me so much. Maybe I would not be alone all these years.

Thank you so much for posting this! I'm out west in Calgary, and have been long-distance with my girlfriend in Frankfurt for almost a year and a half, but she finally got a job offer in Edmonton not too long ago. It's so inspiring to see the two of you together, and to see what it might be like for us when she gets here!

It’s awesome seeing you two together after all your time away from one another! Also if people don’t have something kind to say they shouldn’t say anything at all! There are so so many other horrible situations in this world that these mean people could direct their energy towards. I must say, not choosing sides this is, I would have to have a bureau to put clothes and personal items into, I have to have all my items in there place, Lol. I wish you girls tons of happiness in all you do together and hopefully forever.

goddd this gives me hope that me moving away for college doesnt have to be the end for me and the girl who owns my entire heart 🥺🥺 its so hard to imagine that i'll be okay without her but i believe that everything will work out... im just so scared of losing her. you guys' videos always make me feel 10x better tho so thank you ❤️❤️

I strongly relate to Lilian’s two garbage cans in the room. I need one next the bed and one on the other side even though i don’t empty them out frequently since they don’t fill up fast but I’m too lazy to go to the other side of the room to throw a tissue. 😂

Wow...at my home you would go insane.Garbage cans: Bathrooms (2) 1 each, bedrooms (4) in each, kitchen (4), 1 regular trash, 1 Aluminum cans, 1 for paper and 1 for plastics, then 1 in the laundry room and finally 1 in the garage...lol...lol.

The idea of living together scared me the most..I don't know if it just me or my exes. It took only a month before I felt bored with the relationship. Guess I'm gonna stay single for the rest of my life 😭😭

Lilian , war es schwer für dich nach Kanada zu ziehen? Ich finde die Entfernung sehr krass 😅 und deine Familie und Freunde musstest du ja auch zurücklassen...

Hi Amelie! Ich bin das erste Mal nach Kanada gezogen, als ich 19 war. Ich kannte die Leute und das Land aber schon, weil ich vorher als Au Pair da war. Es gab natürlich schwierige Momente, vor allem die Zeit, während der ich Kanada nicht verlassen durfte und dann Weihnachten und so etwas traurig war. Aber ich liebe Toronto und habe mich sehr gefreut, dort wohnen und studieren zu dürfen. Vor allem die Offenheit und Freundlichkeit der Leute, und die super präsente LGBT community habe ich so noch nie wo anders erlebt. Jetzt bin ich wieder in Europa, weil ich mal wieder was neues brauchte, und war dann die letzten paar Monate wieder zurück um mit Alexis zu sein. Aber alles in allem würde ich sagen: Nach Kanada zu ziehen war schöner, bereichernder und spannender, als es schwer war. Danke für die Frage! Liebe Grüße - L
