That’s the best way to move clothes imo, the only better way is the method to wrap them in trash bags while still on the hangers. Saves a ton of time and boxes

I don't know if you own stuffed animals or not, but you could always place your hats on your stuffies! They won't wrinkle and the stuffies will be there anyways, no extra storage containers required

When I moved a couple years ago into my new place, the thing that I was most concerned about was how the cat would handle it. That was the hugest source of my stress! I was so worried that it was going to traumatize her! It’s amazing how much we love our little kitties, we just want them to be happy! 🐈🐈‍⬛

Congratulations!!! The easiest way to move hanging clothes is with trash bags- you put them in the bag and group the handle in to be tied by the trash bag tie. If anything falls off the hanger it’s in the bag and not on the floor. Untie and you hang them in one scoop!

With those floors in the dining room, I would 100% suggest getting one of those clear floor protectors to have under the kitty litter area. They are typically in the home office area (like for an office chair to roll on, but they work really well to keep any accidental messes off the real floor.

It’s so crazy it feels like everyone on KZfaq and even around me is moving, that includes me! It actually won’t be until a while for me but this video really inspired me to get an early start with clearing out clutter!

Congratulations on finding a new apartment. Love your big, new closet except for one thing. I would strongly suggest keeping the blind closed. Maybe even cover the lower half with a light blocking blind or curtain. The sunlight coming in your window, especially on clothes that aren't moved frequently, will fade your garments. You will find streaks and light spots, even weakening of the fibres from the items hanging in the sun. (think how curtains get damaged from hanging in the window). The last time I moved I did the dump the clothes, hangers and all in the back seat. You do what ever work! lol Have fun getting settled in and enjoy your new space! 😊

Congratulations!! I remember your drama with the last few places, so glad to hear you're in a good place now! Dude the clothing rack built directly over the window LOLOL. I'm kind of wary that the clothes hanging over it would fade, I'd probably block up the bottom half of the window and just use the top.

Congratulations on the new place! I usually move large amounts of clothing by putting a sheet down, piling the clothes still on hangers on top, and make a roll. That way the clothes are protected, and they're super simple to unpack.

Girl, I’ve never moved my clothes in boxes either. It’s been hangers in the car and carrying too. I always tell myself it’s more sustainable that way, lol. Congrats on the new place!

I totally understand the 'where to put the kitty litter' thing - every place I've lived, I've had to deal with that. There's no perfect place, but I'm sure it'll be fine in your new place. I hope the cats get comfortable soon. I moved my poor Dylan about six times, and every time, he spent 24 hours hiding.

That is the best way to move clothes but I slide a large garbage bag up from the bottom over the bunch of clothes and tie at the top around the hangers that way if something falls off a hanger I don't trip and fall. The bags can be reused.

Congratulations! If you want to film around without worrying about creeps recognizing the view out of your windows, I recommend getting some pretty window film ! I did it for mine when I lived on the ground floor and cut out little circles so the cats could still look out 🐈

I def use old shoeboxes for storage. At one point, I was also using a storage shoebox to elevate my laptop so I wasn't doing zoom meetings looking up from below, lol.

I use large shoe boxes for storage all the time > makeup/out of season socks/sewing stuff etc. Beats buying boxes/containers.

To store bucket hats: clip a clothespin on the rim and hang it onto the edge of a wire shelf or on a clothesline :)

Congrats on tje new place! It looks so nice! As a fellow renter, I feel you so much. We got so many boxes. And over here all walls are always white. It feels so sterile and when you move out, everything has to look like when you moved in. And I think frequent moving i sthe reason our generation does not own heavy furniture anymore.

Congrats! So glad y'all found a place you can truly enjoy. I like my current place, but long for the day when my partner and I can move somewhere with a bit more room. Probably not as much as in CA, but homes are pretty expensive where I live.

Also, random note, but for hat storage my husband and I use a giant hollow Lego man head that his parents got us for Christmas that had some little Legos inside 😂 it's hilarious but it works! We keep it in our closet, so when you open it up and look on the shelf there's just a giant Lego head with hats inside 🤣 it cracks me up lol

Heads up I wouldn’t keep your perfume in the bathroom!!! The humidity from the shower can cause it to lose its potency/go off much quicker!!!!

Next time you move your clothes, put them in trash bags and connect the handles to the hangers. then, you dont have to worry about them falling or getting messy!

I blame my mom for my pillow mountain habit 😅 she does the same thing and now I have to sleep with like 5 pillows around me like a fort! I use to sleep with more since I had to sleep on an incline because of my reflux disease (couldn’t sleep straight down) but even after having surgery for that I still have to have a slight incline.
