3 жыл бұрынIt's FINALLY HAPPENING! We're moving into our new tiny home that took us 6 long months to build. We left ourselves a few final touches to complete before the van is truly road ready, but we managed to get (almost) everything done this week! We’re so excited to start really living the van life, and now that we’re packed up it’s just about time to hit the road!
We’re also happy to say that our van life plumbing situation seems to be set up correctly, which means all of the systems that make a van feel like home are tried, tested, and working as expected!

We are a couple of full-time travel dreamers who decided to pack up our lives to explore the world - and then 2020 happened. After flying back home, we were not ready to give up our new lifestyle yet, so we bought a minivan, converted it into a DIY minivan camper, and drove across Canada in search of beautiful campsites and stunning mountains to climb. We are currently on a different sort of adventure, converting a Ford Transit cargo van into our new full-time home on wheels in hopes of exploring North America and conquering more mountains - and hopefully even the Arctic Ocean!

Agressive pump pump pump, now you know why people fit accumulators, helps to even the flow and stops the pump randomly pumping to maintain pressure in a closed line

I think we’re gonna buy another one and use it cause the pump alone isn’t ideal 🤣

Did you consider fitting a 't' connector in the 'flickmixer' hot and cold lines eg: join hot and cold together ( instead of capping the hot water line) that way your water comes out no matter what the tap handle is set to. it has worked for us, if you don't intend to use hot water.

Great news for me !!! Just doing my insulating and then the big spending starts. Wondering how many of your savings tips next week, I will be able to use. I wanna be finished in August, but seeing you took 6 months to build, i'm not feeling great right now. But I do have no Shower to contend with, this seems to always be a headache for those who do. Very nice how yours is/has turned out, congrats. Look forward to seeing you drive off into the sunset soon.

Awesome best of luck with the build! Our build took longer because we built in the winter, and filmed and edited everything. We think it could’ve been done in 2-3 months with longer, warmer days and no camera

Hey, can you give a link or a full name for the wabasto installer? Can’t find one.

We had ours installed by Thermo King (thermoking.ca). They specialize in Espar, not Webasto though - the location in Ayr made an exception to install ours but if you can we’d recommend finding a Webasto dealer. If you have a diesel then Thermoking will install the same size Espar. A lot of long haul trucking maintenance companies will do the install
