Laughing so hard! Between Rebecca trying to transport the pigs and them learning the electric fence,I'm dying! My cousin and I used to have to catch them by grabbing their hind legs. The squeals are deafening!

When I was about 5 yrs old, we had some pigs on the farm that got loose. One was a huge boar. Dad chased that boar with his pickup for a long time before it got tired! ...All throughout the hayfields. The boar head butted the fender of the truck leaving a huge dent. It wasn't long before we had bacon daily for breakfast, and ham dinner on Sundays !!!

My uncle used the wheelbarrow style of moving his pigs. He would grab their back legs and walk them where he wanted them. Not a whole bunch can be done about the squealing, though.😁

No pigs were harmed during the making of this video. The pig moving attempt was funny and the cage seemed to work out much better. I believe that your Border Collies wanted a shot at herding them over to the new digs.

There is 3 ways of moving pigs, 1 use a bucket of food and they will follow as they are always looking for food, 2 you could of backed up the truck and put them in the back and 3 use a board and bat which is usr too guide them the board one side and the bat the other which is use as to guide it the is used too block its vision on one side so it has to go in one direction in which is the way you want it too go, Coming from a person who worked on a commercial pig farm for 14 yrs

tie a rope onto one front leg. This will stop it when you pull on it. Get a 3 ft +/- long cane or stick and tap it on the nose to control direction. This will work on any size hog. When showing pigs in FFA you show them with a tap on the nose. The rope is used during the teaching process.

Love your idea on the pig wagon. I think I saw a video where they put peanut butter on the end of the pig water nozzle to get them to find it and use it. I like you take the time to electrify and teach the pigs about electric. I watch a you tube channel where they haven't gone through the effort and their pigs have broken out of their pen just about every video. Fun to watch him chase pigs back in their pen every day but, not very good use of his time and busy schedule. Like the old saying... an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

When you set up the larger area remember water a distance from the food to force them to walk between. The poly irrigation holes makes for good animal water setups with using sections of metal pipe to protect where the animals can chew on it. A simple 0.5gph dripper hidden inside a steel pipe to stop chewing will fill a water container nailed to the ground below it with constant fresh water and if that becomes not enough a second dripper to double it or up to a 1gph size.

Did you have an Aha moment? Should have cleaned the food trough before hammering it in? In Germany, when the kids are playing loudly or a small child is whining, we say; Are there pigs being slaughtered here? I like how you start your videos by showing a few minutes of the "topic" before the introduction. Makes it more intriguing.

if you read the instruction on any good fence charger you will see they all tell you to install l 3 galvanize 5/8"x 6 foot long ground rods 10 feet a part, i see so many you tube videos saying oh i tried a one wire 14 ga electric wire for my pigs my cows a but they always getting out, but you seen them install a fencer and one or 2 1/4" copper painted rods 3 feet long, all is good like that until you dont have snow or rain for a week, they can hear that click in the wire and when its not there, dont mater how good you insulate the wires any mustier at all grounds a little at that 70 to 80,000 volts, with out good ground rods you can buy a $500 fencer like me, and with out good grounding, you just as well buy a $25 one, any one of my charger will burn the grass or new brush growth off in the line, so any small short never stops it, the eletric training wire should have been set up long ago were there were, all you need is a 5 foot long peace of wire in there pen cutting it in half leaving a 3 foot opening from one side to the other, the older they are the more harder it is to get them to all ways respect that wire, i can take a wire down and they will never cross, i put a wooden pellet for gates were i know i will have the cross over, with no wire on it.. just lead the pigs with a pail of feed,, they follow you any were, if you carry them, hang them from both back legs and walk for the feeder just drive 2 1/2 inch re-bar in the ground crossing over the top of the feeder so they cant get in, drive them in deep at the same angal as the feeder, and tie wire the top ends to the fence or drive 2 more strait down to tie to..
