Hi Anthony, I’m looking to move for your state. With my NY job.. I will be working for the same salary but will be paying ny taxes. Do have have to pay taxes for both city? I will be buying a home as well. Thanks 🙏
@LivinginAtlanta
@LivinginAtlanta 3 жыл бұрын
@@salishaabdool608 Yes, you'd have to pay both but your home here would have to be purchased as an investment property since it won't be your primary residence and you'd still have your primary in NY. Also, the rates are very different for investment properties so I'd suggest talking to my lender first so you know all of the details of the two scenarios. Text or call me and let's set up a time to talk through it. 678-918-1340

Massachusetts has very high SAT scores for those entering college, but that doesn't mean all the students come from Massachusetts high schools, they come from all across the country. I lived in the northern Chicago, IL area, central CT (8 years), and the Seattle (12 years) area. Worked aerospace contracts in USA, Europe, and Canada. I visited 47 states, now live and retired in the Atlanta area (Cobb County) since 2009. I would never change it for any other location. No competition for Atlanta Metro, not perfect, but other places are far away on my list.

Appreciate the video! I'm from CT and the taxes are outrageous 😑 we actually had a bag tax a while back. It was .02 for a plastic bag and .05 for a paper bag. We ended up doing away with those bags a while back for the environment. Me and my family are looking to move down south just not sure where yet. It actually costs less for my mortgage than it does for an apartment up here! Some want 1300 to 1500 a month for a 2 bedroom. They call it conneitax for a reason! I'm ok with some taxes I've been dealing with it my whole life 🙃

Atlanta is one of the most diverse cities in the country and a fantastic place for immigrants. My own wife is an immigrant from Jordan and she came to the States with absolutely nothing 20 years ago. And didn't even speak English. She now is the CEO and owner of two successful companies and she did it all on her own. She has said herself that this is no other place in the world with the opportunities she had here and couldn't have accomplished what she did any other place. Does this help?

Do you have any tips and tricks for life in Gilmer County and avoiding the Wrath of the Carpenter Bees?! Is Pest Control like a monthly utility bill in places like Ellijay and Blue Ridge or am I overthinking it?
@LivinginAtlanta
@LivinginAtlanta 2 жыл бұрын
My advice would be to move to Cobb Count..lol. kidding...Carpenter Bees are going to be around forever, especially up where you are. Pest Control can definitely be contracted out and have a regular monthly service for them to come out and spray. This may help a lot with the bees.
