San Diego is a great place to live. But if you are a single guy budget in Travel to other countries or you will be living in monk mode.

Visit Ocean Beach every summer, my favorite place to visit. Would love to live there but it’s too expensive.

Thanks for the video! Moving to OB/ Sunset Cliffs in June. What's the best site to find an apt? How early can you find a place b4 move in date? Nyc usually the month before even 2 weeks before.

For move in timeline it'll depend house to house. We always send people to hotpads.com/ for rentals. Good luck with the move!

Good question but not entirely sure. There are some areas that have a higher concentration of businesses (i.e. Sorrento Valley, Kearney Mesa, Downtown, UTC, Carlsbad)

Dudes, seems like you put a lot of effort into this video and you’re presentation was great. Only thing is I think people thinking about moving to San Diego would value actual local knowledge above everything else. All these tips seem pretty generic to me. Giving your impression of the general vibes of neighborhoods around SD would help a lot more, like hey OB is kinda hippie crunchy granola beach town, PB is sorta a college beach town vibe, most things south of Golden Hill is pretty much Mexico (still can be nice though) etc. Things people can’t find out easily by just doing google searches

I’m graduating this upcoming spring, and in the fall of 2024 I am going to be staying in a house for cheap in Oceanside until Thanksgiving. I am then looking to move to San Diego. I want to know what salary will be good enough to live there comfortably and also if I should look for a place or a job first. Thanks!
