Yes, I agree! When I was living in Sweden, I had a chance to go dog sledding in Kiruna, but I did not go which I regretted for many years! (not sure it's considered a "winter sport" but always fascinated by it :)

I would look for a place to do skiing and go one day or so in skiing school if you haven't done it before. There are often good/affordable prices for renting skis for a day. Ice skating in an indoor or outdoor ice rink is also fun.

@@lucyjeonglobal It quite depends on where you live. In the north winters are cold - in the south they are chilly. Like -20 C (or colder) in the north isn't uncommon while tempretures hover around -10 to 0 C in the south.

@@benktlofgren4710 As someone who lives in the Stockholm area and did military service in Boden, having my eyelashes freeze together when blinking was a clear indication -30 to -40 is far colder than anything down south, regardless of humidity.

And in winter it never goes up and you have seasonal depression 6-8 months of the year.

@@lucyjeonglobal It was Manny years since it was last that could where I live. But in the north that is more common. The last few winters have been rather mild in my area.

I'm Swedish and I have a rice cooker (and I use it frequently), I don't drink coffee (nor tea) and I don't take the fixed fika breaks at work (I take them when I feel like it, which is not very often). So we are not all the same.

Every year from the beginning of December until January, many Koreans come to Kiruna to see the Northern Lights. As you may know, Kiruna has been known for a few years, when the city of Kiruna would and he has now moved. from its previous location. It's always warmer on the coast in winter, and colder in summer. Jönköping is inland and on a highland plateu and does have places for downhill skiing, like Isaberg in Hestra.

Hmm I don't know but I think for example the UK has lower indoor temperatures in the winter than Sweden because of not as good insulated houses.

@@erik.... that is true. But you will come across situations where you really feel the cold. At -20 to -30C your breath feels like tiny little needles, when you’re coming home from work in such conditions you will definitely want to cozy up for a while, despite how insulated the house is. There’s a good reason the walls are thick and our windows have tripple panes.

That's indeed a very strange comment - what do you mean with "better"? It's most likely warmer in Korea than in Sweden, but that certainly doesn't make it better. Most Swedes enjoy and are thankful for our four seasons, ranging from warm summers to cold snowy winters. I'd never want to live in a country where the weather is warm the year around; that would be extremely boring. I grew up North of the Arctic Circle and is thus used to snow covering the ground for almost six months; that was quite normal to me.

I think nither is bad just different, if you live in a country with these drastic changes in seasons it’s easier to cope with it and find thing to do like go skiing or hiking but I understand it very hard if you don’t live here long to adapt to these changes
