My name is Barbara Stephenson. I'm a real estate agent in the Kelso/Longview area of Washington State. Born and raised right here in Cowlitz County on a cattle ranch, my husband and I have two awesome grown sons.

Thanks for making this. We will be moving the area later this year. Probably going to rent while we sell the existing home in California, and look for rural land to build a new home on. We visited last summer and fell in love with the area. Loved Amboy, Kalama and lots of other small towns in the area.

There are pros and cons to any area, right? I just see the rain as a pro. It makes us GREEN!!

I'm not sure when I'll be ready to retire, but no taxes on pensions or social security sounds like a nice incentive for retirees in WA. Thanks for the warning about avoiding Ocean Beach Highway at 5 pm! Love the trails. And I don't have complicated hair, so I'm good to go. Thanks Barbara!

Good to hear John. Mine is a bit, if I want my bangs to hold up. One of my favorite strolls is at the Mt St Helens Interpretive Center There is a path built over the lake. It's a bird sanctuary, too. A must see, for sure!!

I currently live in Bellingham . Lived in Prosser visited colville. Jems. Bellingham gets much less rain now. Nothing like the 80s/90s

I love Bellingham. Haven't been there for years though. I haven't been to Prosser or Colville. Sounds like a road trip is in order. Why are these cities so high on your list?

Low to no crime no homeless friendly people. Prosser is Issaquah of the east in terms of wealth. Benton county. Colville even more lakes and forests than bellingham

@@BarbaraStephensonRealtor Nope, she told me it was a good neighborhood. Do you have 55plus active communities there? Not a trailer park, a well managed place .

Eastern WA is a bit too dry for me. I prefer green, green green Western WA!!

I love Olympia. There is a great park on the Sound with a foot bridge and trail to the water. And Old Town is funky and strange. Has some great restaurants, too. I'm in the Longview/Kelso area in SW Washington. Just about an hour south of you on I-5

I've driven through Kelso quite often. I agree that it's in such a beautiful area. And yes, no umbrellas!

@@cuu4334 I can only speak to my experience. I have lived here all but 3 years of my life and have never had any issues at all. That is not everyones experience but it is mine. I love my little town!! One of our best features is the small town feel.....and no traffic issues!!

@@cuu4334 It truly is!! Longview sits right next to Kelso and all together we have a population of about 50K. Several of my videos have some drone footage to show off the beauty. Longview WA Weather, Lake Sacajawea, and Longview Jobs. Check them out!!

Well.... It's a nice place to catch a ferry but......I like small towns with no traffic issues. Did you see the video about Lake Sacajawea? It's a beauty!!
