Hi Rob great video, I sharpen my blade every two weeks to keep that nice cut especially in the wet👍

One of my favourite mowers belonged to the firm I worked for previous to me going self employed. It was a Hayter mulching mower. It had a large disc underneath with small, flailing blades so it was virtually impossible to damage the mower if you hit something hard. That mower just went & went. You could use it on anything, and it would much away all day.

Great mowers Rob. They save loads of time emptying half bags from other brands. Congrats on 1k plus mate it’s a tough number to get to and you got there quick which means people like your content.

When the grass is quite wet, I like to run the blower over it. It only takes a few minutes and makes the cut easier.

I didn't know grass could be picked up when wet. My mower leaves rolls of grass behind if it's wet. My mower is an old cheap "Champion"

Good to show both sides of outdoor work ! Being a pro Rob why not carry two blades for each mower sharp and ready to replace you know it makes sense Always have three sharp chains plus my files for the Kombi heads . The pro's and con's but sharp always is best ! it's Gods way of letting you know who's the Boss Just ask any Farmer . Need to up your Min Charge IMO your thinking it's just you, your not adding in the expensive Kit or oil and all time high Petrol the KM131R should of been you're go to Had mine 10 years sweetest thing I ever bought Sir . still not been paid for that hedge- I did over 3k work for 2 doors down they own the local Brewery his wife was over the moon she stated free beer for life !!! as several firms had said NO due to Risk of damage by the large tree's her husband dropped off 11 bottles of beer not even a full case So don't go thinking it's just you . Hey Rob, I’m in the RAF and last year I started my own little gardening company. It’s doing really well down here where I am in the South of the country. Anyway, I enjoy watching what you do and helps me as I’ve only been going just over a year now. If you’re ever doing a Scarification or aeration job, please put it on here as that would be lovely to see. I’ve spent thousands on kit Hayters, Stihls and Hondas and that’s just for grass jobs. 🙂 Would you recommend getting a sit on mower as a Gardner? Or would this be something to have for commercial work?

Great stuff young fellow enjoy the video..ok mowing wet grass sharp blades and raising the level by one or two does help but I am miffed that your mower is giving a not so good cut.change to new blades with high lift flutes a must ...how was the cut when you first mowed was it ok...

Yeh most likely the blade mate, a lot of new blades actually come dull and need a sharpen for that cleaner cut. Could also be the engine rpms need tweaking, cant really tell without hearing it purr. 👍 Are you that guy who wears shorts all year round as well? 🤣

HI I've just started watching your channel, I'm not a Gardner but I wish the company i worked for adopted your company policy, on customers, to stop the messer's on your previous vids. Don't work for neibours friends family I could write a book. I've got a pocket full of thank yuzu's. Do you use the green stihl ultra 2 stroke oil, low emictions. I've tried some in chainsaw or strimmer. it worth the extra money doesn't stink like ordinary synthetic 2 stroke oil. As for ride on lawn mowers & ivor trailer, just a theft liability.. Just letting you know that you come across well on camera, don't change a thing it's working the y-tube side, all the best Rob.

Hi Rob how it going I am just along the road at Barley Mow hows the stihl mower going do you think it better than the honda I have the 545rm and the 655rs seem to cut well and bagging is great. Possibly the grass was a bit wet too causing poor cut. You been out today I sacked it off too wet lol

hi my names paul im a gardener in the north west, can you tell me why you mow wet grass, you should really leave it if its too wet. ive been a self employed gardener since 2008, also why do you not strimm the edges of the grass first before mowing.

Do you remove the grass or leave on site ???

Sometimes you just have to double cut long wet grass 😭 it's a real pig. Unclogging a jammed up mower multiple times is not fun. Teaches you patience. 👍

What height are you cutting customer's lawns? Been battling to find the right height for mine, encouraging healthy growth but not looking like a jungle.
