Fat Tit You’re quite right that in life Mozart became interested in some aspects of JS Bach’s work, particularly his fugal work; that said, barely a single note of Mozart sounds remotely like anything ever written by Bach (and vice-versa), so the ‘...Bach influenced Mozart a lot’ statement is rather questionable assertion.

ethanbeats achmoody I was very politely attempting to correct the completely erroneous point you made about some imagined similarities between Bach and Mozart; there are very few. Almost nothing in Mozart sounds like Bach apart from a few 18th century common patterns such as the use of the circle of fifths which every composer used (Mozart did write a few pieces in a deliberately old-fashioned style imitating Bach and Handel, but that is not what you are talking about). Many houses are built of bricks; that does not mean that they look similar!

@@yougottaseizetheopportunit8296 that was what I intended to indicate...in his musical world, if you came up with a simple exercise from the composers of Bach's era, it would have resulted in a wry smile---maybe. On the other hand, it is known, that Mozart was at times ironical and sarcastic. This charming sonata is still too tough for me....but I can already play the first measure/bar ;-)
