The Mpc live has been one of the best purchases I've made had it for about 2 years now coming from the OG 2000 and the difference from when I got it to now with these updates is unbelievable, great job Akai👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

I had a MPC5000 which at the time I loved but slept on the MPC X/LIVE until this year. First MPC 2 standalone versions had many limitations and I forgot about it. But the MPC standalone updates got so much better that its totally different now.

This is update was probably the main reason that made me decide that I was gonna get an MPC one day, which is finally did a few days ago. I saw how Akai was killing it with the updates and it was obvious how much they cared about the people who used their products. I don’t regret my decision one bit!

I think the instruments are really good but the price is very high. I didn't find out pricing until release day.

@@GhettoStyles I was just thinking the same I’m finna go check them out , I don’t like they moved the save button lol ratchet is game changer an oh ya I just discovered last night I can now use the over dub record button while I have mpc open in fl studio. Before the update I would have too reopen up mpc then click record from my mouse but now I hurst press overdub on the mpc live an can put in me patterns

Once again Akai is putting the crosshairs on Native Instruments! I've watched the videos on update 2.11, but I never saw anything relating to new virtual instrument. I think this update is amazing! The possibilities were already good using an MPC device, but now I think the possibilities are endless. The only feature I ask AKAI to do is to make it easy for users to catalog the sounds on their external MIDI gear.... like allow users to either import MIDI gear sound listing or make it themselves, similar to how Cakewalk did it. That way users won't have to remember BANK and MSB/LSB number to access sounds from external gear. If they do that, then it will be R.I.P. Maschine family for real!

That was my first thought. I don't care for the pricing but this has the potential to be extremely big if Akai continues to produce great quality VST instruments like these that work in standalone.

@@renechang2406 I Love The Software Version, Perhaps Because i Usually Be In Controller Mode Wit My MPC LIVE 2... The Only Issue I Have Is When I Save A Song To Project File, If I Don't Pay Attention, Sometime Another Random MPC File's Name Would Pop Up In The Locating File Name Area, and That Could Cause Me To Overwrite A Song/Project That Could've Been Ah Banger...But That's Why Now I Always Try To Save My Projects Twice When i'm on The Software/Controller Mode... But as Far as Workflow Linkage..."I'M ON CLOUD NINE" !!!!

I've been liking the Standalone and plug in version of mpc 2.0, I've been using it with mpk249 so don't have a new MPC, but it works good w what I got. I used a mpc 1000 for 10+ years and still have it but I like that it brings that same workflow to logic or just on the cpu in standalone. I feel like I can do everything a new mpc can do with my mpk249 plus I got a keyboard to play piano...don't get me wrong I'd love a new mpc live lol but don't have any mpc live $ yo!

The new plug-ins cost 500 bucks in total unless u get the key 61 . Update but others don’t get the full sounds

NONE of my Splice samples audition anymore. I used to have a problem with a couple… But NONE audition now. I have no idea what any sample sounds like before I use it.

The OPx4 is extremely complicated. You can literally do anything with it.

Not when you can just use the Native instruments expansions in the MPC. I have converted all of my NI expansions to MPC expansions., They work great.

Hey bro can u plz tell AKAI to make a better driver for the MPC REN I had this machine since 2017 and have yet to make a beat with it , it has a serious driver issue and I cant seem to get around it ...

They have drivers for the MPC REN. You can select it in the installer. You will have to scroll to your device during installation or upgrade to chose the MPC REN. The top of the list is Software only then MPC X, then MPC Key, then Live 2, then ONE then Studio 2 I believe but the MPC REN is definitely in the install list.

Ok so the REN does not come with the 2.0 software and you upgraded the software. However I know the REN is still supported and drivers are included in the installer. You just have to select the correct device from the list. The REN is towards the bottom.

What exactly are you having problems with? And if you have an MPC it comes with the full 2.0 Software for free. Now if you have some like a MPK Mini it comes with MPC BEATS. I don’t know what you have from this comment out of the software.

No you do not have to buy HYPE in 2.11 go to ACTIVATE PLUGINS and scroll down. You should see HYPE there and you can download it.

Ive been saying RIP 🪦 controller mode since 2.10, I’m on MacBook Pro M1 big sur 2.11 software and firmware and the shit STILL keeps crashing every second, I’ve lost so many projects and so much wasted time, it makes me wanna destroy my Mpc live like it’s a fucking guitar 😒

Don't do that! It could be some third party plugins causing the crash. I know mine crashes every time I try to use Sektor from Initial Audio in the MPC Software. It could be something like that. Also take a mental note that even though the software is now M1 compliant that a lot of the plugins are still not so you might want to think about running it in Rosetta mode.

I bet that all the newbies are looking at that assignable touch strip that the MPC61Key has, don't trip... you already have that within MP2 Software..it's called Touch FX, look under the Harmonics tab. I have a MPC X, its the only machine you will ever need. Akai fooled me into buying VIP and an Advance 61...this time, I sidestep all the shiny stuff and did my research. The Advance 61 is till useful, but not VIP....VIP has been bundled up and installed in the 2.11 update aka the sounds tab, which is the smarted thing those engineers over at Akai Professional has done. This 2.11 update is the best update Akai has introduced to the MPC line, The only thing that I'm asking from Akai is when they start developing new plugins, don't make them too expensive, you have MPC owners all over the world, don't get greedy..

After playing with this new keyboard that touch strip is not overrated. I have and advanced keyboard as well. I was highly upset when they abandoned it as quickly as they did. It had potential. I’m positive this keyboard will not have the same fate. They mostly did it right this time. Other than that I agree with everything you said. The plugins are too expensive but they are definitely really good. If they keep up with developing new plugins like these that work 100% in standalone it will be major.

Your tutorials are out standing. I agree, the touch strip on the MPC 61 Key is a great addition...it better be... Akai has made The MPC line the way a company should make their products. Every machine has it's purpose. I'm testing out those new instruments, that price tag though...I will probably end up purchasing them, not right away... I will catch your next tutorial.

@@GhettoStyles I down loaded those plugins, the demo....They are worth every penny. The way those new Instruments were developed...it's a different animal, I'm a believer...Akai will definitely get some of my money. I have Motu MacheFive3, great program, but...it's not integrated into MPC2, thats the difference... those new plugins Akai got it right,{ R.I.P Native Instruments}...they way they are mapped inside of the 2.11 update.. what your able to do with Akai MPC2, if you have a MPC X...it's game over.. I don't see why I need to purchase this MPC 61 Keys, I have a MPC X...if I have some free doe lying around, I would definitely consider it.
