Every time I talk to a government office, bank, or utilities company, I assume my calls are being taped and in many cases am told I’m being taped. It looks like that habit by government backfired this time. Full support for JWR - and I’m definitely no Liberal. She did right.

Isn't there a way where common Canadian/s can file Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in the Supreme Court of Canada demanding a public inquiry or criminal investigation to establish or rule out the issue of interference? Many countries who adopted the legislative framework from the United Kingdom have this provision wherein rare and exceptional cases of larger public interest courts can direct an open inquiry.

"I think the PM feels.....", "The PM wants to know why....." I don't hear anything that could even remotely be used as a threat. A threat would be " the PM want you to.....". This is no more damning than her last Trudeau quote of "no, no, no, but you need to make a decision". Marc Miller must have drawn the short straw from the Liberal caucus to have to come on this program to try and defend the behaviour of the PM, Wernick, and Butts. And Miller came on to this program not having heard the entire audio recording in advance? How did he expect to defend this in any way with that kind of shoddy prep? I can tell you this, if after repeated pressure from the PM's office and his staff I would do what she did and record a conversation if I did not have proper ability not having staff on hand to dictate that conversation with the knowledge that without it it might be used against me or my office as a tactic down the road. I think she did it knowing it might be a smart thing to do in case things went south in the months ahead and lo and behold it did. Smart of her to do so.

I Think ALL conversations of our government officials should be recorded, what ever happened to JT's assertions about "transparency in government"? I'm glad JWR recorded this call , unlike the liberal MP i did listen to the whole thing , and it clearly shows pressure to interfere . It's not the justice Ministers job to kiss political butts (pun intended) it is to enforce JUSTICE, the independence of which she was upholding ,as she should. The Liberal party should not kick her out, they should elect her leader of the party.
