Thank you for everyone who has run up against this type of corruption. Some think you are speaking too much about being indigenous but if you can't tell the truth in a power position, your own people will know not to trust you and your heritage is obviously more important than a bribe or a threat. It is people like you Joy, that bring back faith in mankind but at the same time letting us know, we are not safe. Keep up the good fight, thank you and we are with you.

The Hon Sheila Copps: "Based on her performance at the Justice Committee, she obviously holds a very high opinion of her decision-making capabilities, and doesn't have a lot of time for the opinions of others." 20 communications/107 days (emails, calls, meetings) 107/20 = 1 every 5.35 days Most communications were internal between staff. She only took a few meetings. JWR admitted to "high anxiety" over this? Seriously? Does she understand real anxiety & what real people go through? She refused to hear outside expert opinion more experienced than herself and refused to consider new information on SNC and possible job consequences for 10,000 innocent Canadians. JWR contention that due diligence was exercised by herself was not documented and was not given to the people who approached her.

They (CBC, Trudeau et al) are continuing the narrative that Trudeau and his influencer's were understandings things and communicating one way, and JWR was understanding it a different way. They are using the terminology 'her truth', 'feelings' or felt'. This is not a grey area. Our elected officials are competent, they know what words mean, communication is one of their leading requirements and strengths. In other words, the only confusion here is the manufacturing of this being a misunderstanding, or trying to grey the waters. The facts are clear.

No one talks about the veiled threat from the PM that he was going to have his solution accepted no matter what. In my thought process this meant do it the way I want or your job is gone. And that is just what he did. He took her out of the job and put someone else in who would do his bidding. No one has questioned whether the case has been dropped. Is this Quebec company just getting a fine or are they going to trial? Inquiring minds want to know.

It doesn't help to hear that maybe this is normal; that makes it worse. If this type of pressure isn't illegal, it ought to be. Allowing this kind of pressure means there are two tiers of justice: one for the rich and powerful who can lobby the government, and one for the rest of us. It also annoys me to hear insinuations that the strong woman we saw testify just "couldn't handle" ordinary political pressure. No. She was right to say that pressure should not occur and she handled it well because she never caved.

I've heard it said that Trudeau is losing control of his team. I couldn't disagree more. Virtually his entire team are nodding bobbleheads. There is not a spine among them. Party discipline causes even those with the slightest bit of conscience to tremble and shut their mouths. “In a sort of ghastly simplicity we remove the organ and demand the function. We make men without chests and expect of them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honour and are shocked to find traitors in our midst. We castrate and bid the geldings be fruitful.” ― C.S. Lewis, The Abolition of Man Once-powerful convictions, never concretely expressed, devolve, practically overnight, into pious velleities-and finally disappear altogether. In Robert Bolt’s magnificent play regarding St. Thomas More, A Man for All Seasons, we find a telling exchange between Cardinal Wolsey, a hard-bitten, largely amoral politico, and the saintly More. Wolsey laments, “You’re a constant regret to me, Thomas. If you could just see facts flat on, without that horrible moral squint, with just a little common sense, you could have been a statesman.” To which More responds, “Well…I believe when statesmen forsake their own private conscience for the sake of their public duties…they lead their country by a short route to chaos.” (Bishop Barron)

Jody Wilson-Raybould was NOT elected by the people of Canada to the position of AG or Justice Minister: she was appointed by Justin Trudeau for all his fatuous diversity reasons, including that it was 2015. He alone had the right to reappoint or demote her if displeased with her. Her "distinguished" legal career amounted to 3 years after graduation in the prosecutor's office in the Downtown Eastside (Vancouver). If you don't like the way your hired lawyer is presenting your case you fire them and appoint another one. This kind of horse trading probably goes on all the time in government, just this time it involved someone who was too pig-headed to see the implications of her intransigence. Watch some videos of "Yes, Minister" to get a sense of reality around this silly debacle. for example kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hahdiqaJm9TIn6s.html

@sdgresl Don't get me wrong; I'm not defending Trudeau. I see this in the light of the Bourassa corruption scandal that brought Rene Levesque into power with the Parti Quebecois in 1976. Levesque ran on a platform of bringing in honest government and people were so angry at Bourassa that they saw Levesque as a desirable alternative, until of course he got in a started pushing separation again. Trudeau is a virtue signalling, naive, prejudiced nincompoop and Wilson-Raybould is worse, just having a moment like Levesque where people choose to ignore her real politics.

He can close the announcement with a few quotes from hugh hefner or maybe trump. His wife can take his place during question period and periodically belt out O'Canada whenever the going gets tough. The other libs can give standing ovations every time. Justin can stay at home and boss the servants around. Peoplekind will forget this by election time.

It was in an interview with Wendy Mesley just two weeks ago where Lisa Raitt REFUSED to answer the direct question!. But to me the million dollar question is; why did Jody Wilson-Raybauld note only vote on June 6th to pass the bill, but as Justice Minister and Attorney General, would have had a large input into the crafting of the Differed Prosecution Agreement? According to the Tories it was passed SPECIFICALLY for HNC Lavalin to be let off the hook, and to be honest, they might be right. But she helped craft and voted "yea" on a bill on June 6th that only a couple of months later she suddenly decided she couldn't implement? Doesn't that strike you as odd?
