The scene where Sabine (Emma de Caunes), falls deeply asleep in the car, she shifts her body to press up against the window and snores loudly. This is Emma really snoring as she asked for the scene to be believable and if she could really be put to sleep. The directors approved her request, and she took a sleeping pill. However, she did not know that she snored on camera and was highly embarrassed by the window/snoring moment.

Somehow in 2007 the Mini Cooper 1965 returns in the South of France 🇫🇷

This begins with another advert for Mahiti (Bean already passed once such advert as he was chasing the hen to regain his lost bus ticket for Cannes - which he never did). We may think it is merciless product placement but it is not, as Mahiti does not exist (though the word refers to the acquisition of knowledge, information or awareness in the Kannada language of India), and neither (except in the above) does the slogan translating as "the very essence of browning/tanning" exist. Of course, we are talking about what happens with exposure to light, and we know that the purpose of this movie is for fallen angel Bean to (finally) be redeemed and see the light once more. The film is designed to be a happy and fulfilling end for Bean and his "mission" on Earth. Yet the ad seems to show a dark and potentially stormy sky, even as people are under protective parasols. And there is a bit of white water - the same white water that is referred to in the film's finale song "La Mer" when Charles Trenet sings words translatable as: "The sea in the summer sky merges His white sheep with the angels so pure. The sea - azure shepherdess, infinite". The "white sheep" are what the French call our "white horses". The lyrics detail Bean rejoining the angels and are obviously deeply involved with Jesus as the Good Shepherd and other sheep- or lamb-related Biblical issues. Bean follows his compass path into the "Services" and gets slapped in the face as his form of being reunited with the delightful Stepan Dachevsky, who has reached the same place by another route, with a band. There is then a brief moment of beautiful and moving dance to celebrate them being reunited. And a moment in which Bean's use of his word "oui" immediately overcomes the language barrier. "Oui" is derived from Latin "hoc ille" which means "this is He" (or presumably developed as "that is it"). "This is he" is quite close to "behold the man" and the original theme of Bean on TV was "Ecce Homo qui est faba" - behold the man who is a bean. The theme song was sung in a religious way and this phrase is indeed religious-looking (if close to blasphemy for some, maybe). After calling to a guy on the verge of suicide (who probably would NOT die jumping into such water from the Roman Aqueduct), we cross the Viaduct de Millau which crosses the Tarn Gorge and is the most-elevated bridge in the world, designed by Brit Lord Norman Foster. For some reason, this crossing of the bridge is put together with the music by Morton Stevens from Hawaii 5-0. Wiegenlied Later we hear the Lullaby by Johannes Brahms (1868) - and the words go: "Good evening, good night. By angels watched, who show you in your dream the Christ-child's tree. Sleep now blissfully and sweetly, see paradise in your dreams" Later - though it's NOT funny at all, they indeed start to fall asleep, first "the Sleeping Beauty". Then Bean uses various self-mutilating techniques know to drivers to force wakefulness. And then they arrive in Cannes, and are welcomed by the sight of palm trees.

The part where Sabine wakes up and they realise they arrived in Cannes, is that an actual view of Cannes? Or some other location

I always assumed the personality of this character was the same as the actors real life personality even though they have different names found out otherwise but it is what it is
