Some cultures do eat the shells of seafood, especially prawns or shrimps. Personally, I don't like raw oysters. Cooked are OK to me. But I'm in a minority I think. Funny funny man.

This is pretty fun because I had this same reaction when I first tried oyster. I had to discreetly spit it out on my napkin until no one was seeing and told the waitress that the food was pretty taste when I was asked :)
