also this is something that affects several people, in my case i dont tidy up bc my room is pretty empty, im not the type to accumulate so if anything needs to be fixed i get it done once a month or so, but my fear of germs and nasty things to the touch does definitely affect my lifestyle, i cant do much about it, its annoying, it annoys my mom and whoever else will get to know me deeper might as well take a little bit of the apple's bad side, but its how it develops and we try to manage it, even hide it otherwise we fear the judgment we might get, so for the commenters that shared fair opinions about taeyong, don't get all technical! he's trying hard to be someone in life and make up for his past mistakes, his phobia or whatever should be the least to point out despite the content shared about it, we can literally build a subconscious and assume that bc its OCD, its bad, which in reality it comes in many different levels and forms, so lets be respectful!

OCD is actually a disorder that often gets worse when people are under stress. I've suffered from it since childhood and Taeyong shows clear signs of having it too. It's mainly genetic but in many people it blooms out after trauma. We can't know what his case is, only wish him the best in life and that he manages it without "feeding" it so it gets worse. I just recently got into NCT and must say I like him a lot already. He seems like such a sweet, gentle and caring person.

And there is me. I’m such a neat freak that I don’t even let others in my room. I just can’t stand it because they would probably contaminate it and mess it up. I also can’t deal with things being in an orderly fashion. Like I said, I don’t let them in my room because I can’t stand my things being in a disorderly fashion. I’m also a major germaphobe. I would even avoid physical contact sometimes. I literally clean up after everyone’s messes at school and then once I’m home, I have even more mess to deal with because my parents aren’t total clean freaks unlike me. I get so stressed when things aren’t clean, neat and in an orderly fashion. I can rant on and on but I hope I don’t concern anyone here.

I know I am late to replying but it doesn't seem like OCD based on what I saw. He may have a germphobia but that doesn't mean it is OCD

black goats are cute idk it is prob more than that it is definitely a control thing. Do realise that everyone has their ways of dealing and quirks ocd can be different depending on the person same goes for germophobia. But probably not anxiety bc at this level he would have been unfit for being a idol ocd ppl do tent to be really neat although it is not recognised as it. As far as I remember is ocd basicly a control freak, everything has to be in place and have a place, it stresses them when things are not in their place. I never encountered one myself so I haven’t had to read into it a lot yet. Ty saying he feels anxious if he doesn’t clean before bed indicates he can not relax if his suroundings are not like they should be, the hand wash also could indicate ocd as he doesn’t seem to like not being able to wear what he wants or usually wears going as far as handwashing it to get it. I don’t think he has ocd but it could be something closely related to it but personally I think we take this to heavy it could be a part of his personality or a light form of something or a combination off . Having quirks doesn’t have to mean someone has something and even if they do it is still a part of their personality as long as it isn’t problematic there aren’t any problem

Once fixed it relieves your anxiety but also feeds it in the future. It can also involve intrusive (bad) thoughts, repetitive actions/words, and ritualistic behavior (have to do something a certain way and only that way). Some people have tiny dashes of OCD (which I think Taeyong has) and others have it way worse (like Howard Hughes in the movie The Aviator).

But his OCD is not that serious. It is mild, because he is able to live his life. He does what he loves and works. His OCD does not consume too much of his time either. It causes him some anxiety but not on a severe level. He is also able to live with others with the exception of him being somewhat of a controlling neat freak. Overall, his OCD is manageable.

He definitely has OCD, you can tell just from how much of the work he does in NCT let alone when you hear this stuff-and it's not a mild case or he'd be able to sleep. studies have been done on people for decades that can't sleep until they clean their house: He's NOT got a mild case, he's got a MANAGED case. We're all lucky he works hard to manage it and probably has a lot of help from caring friends as well. His life is difficult.

I don’t wash my clothes with others It’s washed separately I don’t let anyone in my room because they would contaminate it and mess it up because it’s in an orderly fashion I wash my hands a lot I literally clean up after everyone’s messes at school and once I’m home I have even more mess to deal with and I get really stressed about it. I always hated getting dirty as a kid. I would avoid sitting on the ground so I squat and I never let my body touch the ground. I can barely pick things up the floor. I would have to wash my hands afterwards or use a lot of hand sanitiser if I have nowhere to wash my hands. I really just can’t stand the floor especially in the bathroom. In public bathrooms, I rarely use them unless it’s an emergency. I can go on and on
