I apologise if it seems like rambling, but actually yeah... This is rambling. I am K-pop stan since TVXQ era, but since 2013 I was kinda hiatus and recently started again. Lmao. (Thank you NCT!) And talking about Taeyong, to be honest, I'd never seen any idol like him. The Open the door MV is my favorite. His rap was so raw and wild, like a beast, flow like an air, and yet surprisingly it's quite fit with that cute face. (It's compliment!) I often paused his move in several video, he have THAT dancer posture. I wonder if Taeyong had studied ballet at some point, he carefully control every moves and add little details, whether with his head or hands, and they always screams ATTENTION. Taeyong also chooses his outfits wisely, showed his postures and body line at best. Not mention his passion for composing music and writing lyrics. Idk if SM now was somewhat lenient in term giving creativity freedom, or were they really saw Taeyong potentials? Correct me if I'm wrong, but not every SM artists have credit in their own song. Alas, what I fallen for is his personality. He was kind and genuine in showing affection. He had soft spot for maknae and every babies in general (kitten, little frog, baby chick, puppies, including winwin). My dad always said if you wanna know someone personality, try to see how he treat animals and subordinates. So yeah, it tells a lot! But I think, he was somewhat closed-of to tell his physical condition and difficulties. I must say because no member had known Taeyong had leg injury during Jinggle Bells(?) or whatever... (I forgot the name) in Chicago several days ago. Some OP's Instagram said, all NCT member were heading to their rest room, they already walked down the stairs, but Taeyong remain on the stage. Alone. The staff recognized he was in pain and three of them carefully help him down. It's so painful to watch. I know K-Pop industry was hard. Many Idol fainted during performance and Taeyong was really near that. He was the center and pillar of NCT. He probably lied to himself that he was strong enough to perform. Im not saying other member were ignorant, perhaps they're genuinely didn't know and too tired to notice. What im trying to say is I really admire Taeyong for his hardwork and dedication, both as individual and leader. He is not perfect, he makes mistakes, and probably doom his whole life to make up them for sake of NCT and fans. He giving his soul to this industry and my only wish is life treats him better. Taeyong really is such an angel, he fits the position of a leader very well. But you know, let’s be real, because there are a lot of members, it’s not that one leader is enough. So other members contribute to the teamwork like leaders too. Johnny does it in foreign interviews, along with being one of the oldest members, he is also capable of influencing the members. Kun is our another sunshine and a perfect leader for Chinese babies. Sometimes Doyoung and Mark lead the guys too. Therefore I just feel like we cannot stick with TY as the only leader. Taeyong is a great leader, very caring and worried about his infinite number of kids, he is always trying to make NCT looks organised and shining in front of cameras, but he easily seems always under pressure and packed with responsabilities all the time. I like he can have a break being in a group he doesn't need to worry about it a bit as in SuperM and there he also can have a good example of distressed and easy-going leader that doesn't get sunk by the pressure like Baekhyun. Aww, he's so precious. I've been into Kpop for about 5 years (on and off) one of the most genuine and caring leader. From other videos, it seems that he teases his members and laughs when they are getting teased, but he makes sure that they're ok and get the support that they need. I'm new to the fandom but not their music. I don't really have a bias yet, although I'm leaning towards Jaemin and now Taeyong because of this video and how he cares for his bebes.

Taeyong is definitely one of the best leader i've seen in Kpop. I think what make him really special is that he lead the group in the "centre"..some kpop leaders lead their group from the "back" or from the "front". Those who lead their group from the front is usually very charismatic..those who lead from the back is usually very supportive and gentle.. But leading from the centre..you'll have to be BOTH. Not to mention..leading from the centre will means that you have to be the "ace" of the group..being in the front means you'll be like a "windshield" protecting the group..being at the back means you'll be like a "guardian" supporting the group.. But being at the centre like Taeyong means that you'll be like a "pillar" holding the group. So yeah..what i'm saying is it's pretty rare to see the type of leader like Taeyong.
