I've always thought that 2005 Darcy is generally more awkward than '95 Darcy, but before working on this I rewatched the '95 miniseries and realised that when it comes to Elizabeth, Darcy's awkwardness is on insane levels, especially with all that staring, which is made even more awkward by the fact that he's a more "rigid" appearance than 2005 Darcy. In short, in both versions the secondhand embarrassment is real. LOL
Making this video was a lot of fun, some of the ideas I came up with made me genuinely laugh and I hope they will make you laugh, too.
Music in order of appearance:
1 - • The Police - Every Bre...
2 - • Tipling Rock - Staring...
3 - • John Paul Young - Love...

Pride and Prejudice: a story about how an introverted guy is completely misjudged by everyone and learns to flirt

And also gets over his arrogance, Pride and prejudice against her family. To be fair the letter he gives her after the failed proposal is like let me explain some s*** about how your family acts because apparently you haven't figured this out yet. And after all the awkward b******* about her family is acknowledging she's like yeah they kind of suck. Then he works on his manners probably get some tips from Bingley. Then He goes about fixing all the things he has screwed up and then he can propose to her without it being a problem. I kind of love how her telling Lady Catherine to go stuff herself and if Darcy wants her then fine it's her choice to take him. That this is finally the inciting incident for him to say what he means XD I mean let's face it everyone has that pesky interfering relative or close friend's relative who would totally pull this b******* and that's why it's still relatable hundreds of years later.

Mr Darcy's detailed guide to attracting a mate (Only works if you are insanely rich, and look like Colin Firth): Step 1. Ask about family. Step 2. Ask about family. Step 3. Propose marriage, but also call her poor, insult her family, personality, and overall way of life, and then cry and wonder why she didn't accept. Step 4. Ask about family twice in the same conversation. (Jumping into a lake prior to this is optional, but highly recommended) Step 5. Marriage. You're welcome.

Watching videos about how awkward Darcy is has me feeling like a sports fan, like I know he's not going to get less awkward, but I am still always cheering him on and that Elizabeth will get where he's coming from. It's just the best, I love it so much

The amount of times I’ve watched this 6 hour movie series is unreal. Not a single bad scene, perfectly casted, hilarious moments that never fail to make me laugh even if I know exactly when it is happening and say the lines with the characters.

At least you are a woman. I am a man and ashamedly watch it every winter, and still own my now redundant DVDs. And I am neither socially awkward nor a couch potato yet love only this Jane Austen work. And maybe Persuasion. And Jane Eyre. Ok time to shut up.

😂 this was so cute. I laughed the entire time. The music and his internal monologue made Darcy so much dorkier and hilarious. I love it!

Olivier is a close second, and Rhys wasn't bad, but I melt when I see Colin Firth's eyes as they stare at Jennifer Ehle's Elizabeth!

So funny, first time I've laughed for ages , Darcy came across as so awkward with his actions, especially when it came down to staring at his future wife. I was told it's impolite to stare at someone too long, have done it only once in my life💜🤩
