Yeah. A lot of Austen purists absolutely hate the movie adaption but they have to learn that the movie does not want to be exactly like Austen. Never intended to be. It wants to be modern in order to attract younger audiences and..that's why the actors are more passionate, Keira Knightley is freakin aggressive when she's rejecting Darcy. It's so that it can be more of a timeless piece. Don't get me wrong, we all know the book is timeless, so an adaption exactly like that should be too. But really I don't see the miniseries being like that..it's a lot more accurate but the constrained acting which is again, very accurate, makes it a bit duller in comparison and is for more patient audiences who particularly enjoy this kind of realistic portrayal. In the book, we have elizabeth's thoughts to engage us. But still Austen's intention was to represent normal society, so, the miniseries is perfect. And that's why it's just as good an adaption. But the movie is a good adaption too, it's not loyal, but not every good adaption has to be loyal, it's something new and really really nice. And when you separate the book from the adaption, people will realise what a beautiful movie this is.

Of all the times I’ve watched the 1995 version, I never noticed Elizabeth’s father in the background during the wedding with that triumphant two-less-mouths-to-feed grin on his face. 😂😂😂😂😂 👍🏽Hilarious video compilation. Only Crack videos (like anime cracks) have made laugh as hard.

Okay you got me the phrase 'dignified internal screaming" oh yeah that's accurate and hilarious and I didn't think to put it that way. The battle station sirens about finding out about Lydia and Wickham absolutely perfect. You can just see him suppressing the urge to say "I will rip him apart with my bare hands." OMG that might be the best possible overdub of We are the champions ever

Also the complete s*** eating grin on Mr Bennett at the end is perfect. Yes he's saying two less mouths to feed but he's also thinking "well now I don't have to worry about the younger ones, because they have a rich brother-in-law now. Mr Darcy you absolute fool... thank you." Wickham's like" I can't believe I'm required to be here." Collins is like "bastard. yeah she turned me down. but you're still a bastard for taking her." I never realized how good the background expressions of the 1995 one are until now. Thank you

I watched the '95 series yesterday and I loved it! I knew I'd like it since I have been watching these. I liked that the series showed some things that never happened in the book. Like the conversation between Mr. Darcy and Mr. Bingley about what Darcy had done to keep Bingley from knowing that Jane is in London. And because it was a series it had more things from the book than the '05 movie. But so far these two are the adaptations that I love!

The scene itself is only mentioned by Darcy in the book chapter 58 during the talks between Lizzy and Darcy, but yeah their conversations are 1995 original and not in the book: “On the evening before my going to London," said he, "I made a confession to him, which I believe I ought to have made long ago. I told him of all that had occurred to make my former interference in his affairs absurd and impertinent. His surprise was great. He had never had the slightest suspicion. I told him, moreover, that I believed myself mistaken in supposing, as I had done, that your sister was indifferent to him; and as I could easily perceive that his attachment to her was unabated, I felt no doubt of their happiness together.” “I was obliged to confess one thing, which for a time, and not unjustly, offended him. I could not allow myself to conceal that your sister had been in town three months last winter, that I had known it, and purposely kept it from him. He was angry. But his anger, I am persuaded, lasted no longer than he remained in any doubt of your sister's sentiments. He has heartily forgiven me now.” I think they moved that scene earlier to make the story flow better for the 1995 series. :)

I wish you would have included the scene where he realized he was holding her hand in the '95 one where she is telling him about the letters. I got a feeling you should find the perfect wording for his slight panic. XD
