This was recorded during the Covid lockdown. When I saw tommy perform this live stream, I thought he didn’t look like the Tommy I knew. But then I saw him in December 2022, three or four months ago, and and he looked like the Tommy I was used to seeing. I think Tommy draws life from his live concerts and struggles when he is isolated. I could not believe how vibrant he looked at the December show in 2022.

Hi Tommy, it's Monday morning here near the Great Ocean Road Victoria, I live just near the Otway Ranges, with an abundance of birds from tiny to enormous. Your talent has been a calming influence in my world since I think 1989 - I saw you and your brother play on Hey Hey it's Saturday, you played an Al Di Meola piece, and my jaw was on the floor. I knew there was a monster of a guitarist on my TV. Then I experienced my teen years with music that surpassed any other as far as positive drive, I bought every album and it always came at such an important time. I never had a dad, after he was jailed, and he deserved to be there- so I am blessed that your music reached me in big ways, and was infused into my playing techniques which I'm so greatly thankful for. I remember when I first bought ' up from downunder', I had moved to Western Australia as a 14 year old, caught the Indian Pacific train across from Melbourne, to be with an Auntie in Coolgardie. That year was a meaningful year, 1991. Then the following year I returned home and began a new year at school- you dropped a new album- which I bought without sampling. I was nervous to be starting a new school- but your album ' Determination' I put it on in my walkman, and it blasted away my fears. I will always remember also the pure sound that was coming put of my speakers when I bought ' The Journey, and The Journey continues'. Amazing sound Tommy. Everything has been incredible, and you will have heard all this before. I could talk for hours. You're a treasure Tommy. Thankyou & God Bless Jake

Just mind-blowing how someone can get to this level. He has it all in spades. Rhythm, dexterity, mastery of the fretboard, phrasing, his own unique style. To top it all off, he seems to be the most humble guy on earth. A true treasure.

My advice to folks is that recordings no matter how good they are don’t do the guy justice. If you get the chance go see him while you still can. It will make you forget your troubles and bring joy to your heart.
