Thank you for this review, I've gotten fed up with Stynylrez - they're either amazing products or clog my brush up, one or the other. So after hunting around for a suitable replacement to use in my airbrush I've settled on the 1500 black and thinner, on my research travels I found this video. This has convinced me to get some, I just gotta wait a while because in the UK it's harder to find than hen's teeth lol

Very nice video. I like your approach and style. I’ve used the grey 1200 and 1500 on about 10 Gunpla models with lots of small detailed parts. I also use the leveling thinner by Mr Hobby. That combo never covers up any detail. Even though I’ve primed with it for for many hours, I still picked up some pointers. Subscribed.

Thank you. I realy like it and I've over sprayed and never lost detail either. It seems to stick to most surfaces.

Fantastic review, please allow me to mention that at mr hobbys site they propose the 1500 grade to be thinned with mr rapid thinner, because it needs stronger thinner due to its consistency etc.

This is how I also paint my viechles. Wish they had this black primer in grit 1000 because it covers up more while 1500 is like a base colour.

@@Ricks135scalemodels They just realesed the black version in 1000 grit. However its in the new aqueous surfacer range instead. I have tried it before it is some sort of solvent based too, it only have a mild alcohol like smell. I think thinning it with the leveling thinner might help in making it more durable.

I have not used it on a smooth finish. I have used Tamiya fine primer on those applications with great results. I will say the primed finish look very smooth though. Hope that helps.
