In addition to being my favorite TV show, it also has the greatest ending to anything I've ever seen. The final ten seconds the audience spends with Ray are unforgettable.

One of the best shows I have ever seen on TV. Scott Ryan is such a great actor, we need to see much more of him! We discovered how good Australian tv was while on holiday in Brisbane three years ago. Top quality actors, producers, writers, and then they go and “knock it out of the park” with this. So much better than most of the crap of British telly these days.
@thefatman69dude2 жыл бұрын
This show is so so so good. And it's short and sweet. It never over stays it's welcome and drags either. It's just a great show that is at times brutal and yet also deep. Ray is a brutal killer trying I feel to hide who he is by living a regular life.
@lyndsaycrawford2 жыл бұрын
I think he’s just living his life & that’s his chosen profession. He’s also a doorman at Freddie’s club lol. He tells the woman writing the book that it’s no different from being in the army. Paid to kill “nothing personal mate” I don’t think he’s hiding anything. He still took that hit on Vinnie the biker & they were aquatinted, the guy was always so pleased to see him. I felt shite for that guy & he’d killed ppl. The dialogue between both they men in the back of the van was unbelievably brilliant “see you in your dreams” that broke my heart.

Thanks for this and well done for spoiler alerts. Binged this over a few days and highly recommend it. Ray is an enigma, at times a family orientated good guy and other times a terrifying, violent individual. Scott Ryan plays him so well and that weird smile can either be warm or chilling depending on the situation. Respect to Scott as writer and performer. He seems to have said what he wanted about Ray and his lifestyle without having to defer to overly strong producers. Beautifully written supporting characters and well cast. Can we call it a sleeper hit after 3 series? In this overcrowded, streaming market, it can be difficult to find something you really enjoy ( algorithms be damned ). I'm glad this was recommended by my brother and I will go on to recommend it to others.

Scott Ryan has created something dangerously cool in not just his world building, but the character of Ray. It doesn't hurt that this man has one of the most ineresting faces in the business. Honestly, the man looks like the product of the unholy union of Willem DeFoe and Pete Davidson.

This show is fantastic and deserves to be included in the pantheon of truly great TV shows: Sons of Anarchy, Justified, the Sopranos, Game of Thrones, Bosch, NYPD Blue and Mr. Inbetween. I ended up watching the whole series in two or three days and was left speechless by everything. A slice of life series about the interesting life of an Australian criminal mr fix it guy where I honestly don`t know what parts are best because everything is so good. The acting, the dialogue, the characters, dark humor, action etc everything is top notch. The setting of Australia is also an interesting one as I have seen much media from there before.

Brilliant video mate.I was so lucky to find it just as S1 was getting a small spot in the US FX (I’m in Scotland) and was crushed when it ended.You rarely get shows now where you’re looking forward to next week for the new episode.I found it totally by accident and would watch on a Friday morning over here anxiously waiting for the following week.Scott Ryan said he wanted to avoid the problems of the Sopranos ending yet slightly pay tribute to it,and son of a b@tch does he pull it off magnificently.With this and Gomorrah ending,I’m kind of lost and now the new series of Top Boy came on Netflix last week but I watched that in a day and excellent as it is and Gomorrah being more niche because I realise a lot of people don’t like subtitles (a lot of the best tv of the last 15 years has had subs),I’m lost knowing Scott pretty much says he’s done and it’s astonishing that he stuck with this till his mid-40’s before he could get it properly made and The Magician aside,had zero acting experience but he’s written every line of this himself and with some help from Joel Edgerton’s brother Nash (Brittany is his actual daughter and he cameos as Allie’s brother) Scott has finally made it.

Fantastic show, balances the drama, comedy and violence pretty damn well. Excellent performances all round from the whole cast. But this is definitely writer and creator and lead star Scott Ryan's show. Taking the lead from how UK shows do it rather then American shows, it ends at a nice 26 episode show over 3 seasons. The sad thing if this was set in America, with all American cast and was on HBO. I think it would have probably been a far bigger hit and won a few Emmy's. Unlike say Bill Hader's Barry which this show gets put alongside cause of the hitman thing, Ray in Mr Inbetween can be a ruthless killer who's good at his job but also a caring father (relationship with his daughter is done really well and one of the stand outs of the show), great friend (a few of the kills in the series are getting his friends out of trouble) and brother (praise to Nicholas Cassim as Ray's older brother Bruce who suffers from MND and is heart and soul of season 2). Unlike Barry, Ray doesn't drag everyone down around them and make their lives a misery. Also big up performances from Justin Rosniak as Ray's loyal childhood mate Gary and Damon Herriman as Freddy, another Ray childhood mate and one of Ray's biggest pain in the asses. Both steal the scenes they are in. Also small roles for director of the show Nash Edgerton as Ray's girlfriend's brother and David Michod (director of Animal Kingdom, The Rover, The King and War Machine) as Ray's anger therapy leader. And the ending to this show, rightly has been praised as one of the best and rightly so. Excellent soundtrack too. A rare 10/10 show for me.
