This song makes me feel like I've locked eyes with a 1989 Jennifer Connelly in a dimly-lit arcade. But if lives were movies, mine isn't a 1980s young romance. Not even close.

I've come to the realization today that I listen vapor wave, lofi, and chillstep when I disassociate emotionally. Like I'm listening to the more ambient music to help revitalize my subconscious.. I usually will listen Something that has the slightest depressive undertone to stimulate any sort of emotional response when my world and environment seem to desolve around me. I've found it to be incredibly healing, and I'm proud after so long to have figured it out.. I just thought I'd share and hope this resonates with someone else✌️

Storytime? Yes. It began in village, it was a small place filled with old men and women in mountains. One summer when I went there to visit my grandparents I met this boy let's call him H. So me and H. Instantly became best friends because we both liked cold weather, music, dark clouds etc. But what we shared the most is our attraction to this song. We would spend almost all of our summer nights together laying on that one our special hill looking up at sky and sharing our wishes to each other while listening to this song slowed down. It really created "I love you. Goodbye" vibe but the thing is we did not love nor even liked each other in that way. We weren't the same even though we had a lot in common. H. never even cared about anyone but himself. Although he had very how can I say.. very strange wishes and dreams. Where he lived was far away from our village but our friendship went for over 2 years without any difficulties. But everything changed when we came back to our village on our 3rd year friendship anniversary. He always dreamed about leaving the place where he lived back then and starting a new life with his new significant other. But this year although, it was the same wish he didn't mean what he usually meant. I had a gut feeling, something felt off. After summer, 2 days after he left the village to his home he disappeared. He was never seen again and no one even found his body. They are assuming that he is dead but I still have hope that he's alive. As long as this song is alive he won't die and his dreams will become real. I really wish he'd be here, by my side at this moment but he isn't. He said his goodbyes to everyone and left. And I couldn't be more proud of him. Edit: he was last seen before pandemic, I think in 2017 or 2018 and we were about 16-17

Me and my girlfriend used to sneak out and watch the night sky on the top of a parking garage downtown and listen to this. She's passed on since, but this song always reminds me of her.
