Right?!? How did our parents ever think this shit was okay? We weren’t allowed to watch this kind of shit on tv so why was seeing it enacted in person okay?!

@@janewatson9465 What are you? Some kind of wimp? This was acting! Do you not understand that? It was a comedically look at Sydney in the years between 1788 and 1810. You come across as the sort of person that wants Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and Road Runner cartoons banned because you think they're violent, yet kids today have access to the most violent video games, and you as a parent don't know what they're up to! Shame on you, now go stick your head back in the sand!

That drummer is holding his sticks in match grip, should be traditional grip. Also "stand at ease" is a modern American military order :/

That has to be fake. The whip must have had red paint on it for realization.

Maybe I'm not sufficiently into the spirit of the thing, but these tourist recreations are always kind of embarassing.

This was one of the most trraumatizing experiences of my childhood. The fact that schools thought this was a good idea to go and witness violence (staged but is a 5 year old aware of that?) for a day out with 5 year olds amazes me
