Messi is a movement. I never watched an MLS game in my life until Messi showed up. Now MLS is all I'm watching. MLS get your act together and have a league with promotion/relegation system and more teams. Without this it sucks. The USA is a big country, surely you can organize multiple leagues. Stop playing nonsense games like American football and hockey

MLS has been expanding aggressively for about 8 years now and USL has been doing much of the same. Pretty much every major market is covered but Its very unlikely MLS will take part in Pro-Rel so if thats the bar to be a “real league” then you may be disappointed. Either way MLS is a league with serious ambitions so I’m glad you are watching, id just ask that you take it at face value and dont press it into a European mold. Its strangeness is part of what makes it good.

Well said. The guy is an inspiration, he does everything in the right way. Puts his family above all. Makes it all look easy. And that Inspires all of us. I paid 400$ to see him play in Dallas. It was worth every penny, I'd do it again tomorrow. The idea that messi has shifted the sport here in America just blows my mind. I played for 20 years listening to people slag it off as "boring" and "low scoring". One month of messi and now I imagine the possibility that soccer could take off and become everyone's passion just as we see the other 4 major sports stagnate. Messi did that. Incredible
