This knot works great when you need to tie something down without having to find the end of your rope. The marlin spike and nylon cord can be found at my shop, AwesomeForSale. Thanks

I love these truck-bed videos. All-time favorite part, after the ninja knot tying, is when you smack the object and triumphantly proclaim "and that's not going anywhere". Gets me every time. You my friend, with a handful of paramax cord, are a wonderfully dangerous combination.

Very nice. No mass network of knots, just a single loop or bite and some pressure. The half hitches are to counter for vibration. Excellent job. Thanks for sharing.

Second video of yours I've watched. Awesome! Already saved the "In-line Auto Truckers Hitch. Better Explanation" (2021/07/16) one as one of my favourites. Then... just when I thought the video couldn't get any better... and I was thinking this guy is obviously not like us mere mortals. Trusty wife's voice anchors it all down in reality. Lovely! 🙂

Very similar ,in my mind ,to the tensioning of the Trucker Hitch! I like how by pulling in offsetting directions you are keeping load centered! I was building a large gazebo type structure by myself and needed a way to keep a wall panel up right while I attached beams .I ran ropes in offsetting directions to trees and centered with a couple farrimunds friction hitches ! I find it easy to follow your videos ,very well done! Thanjs

Thanks for another great video. I wanted to add another tip as my truck doesn’t have open hooks, which makes attaching the bight to the second hook a bit tricky if not tedious. I got inspired by the Captain Mullins hitch and attaching the bight to the second hook could be done with a larks head. I don’t know if that makes sense 😅 you have to see it to understand it like always.

This is a great video! That said I was wondering if it would still work with 1) an item heavy enough that it can't be easily shifted or 2) with the twine supplied by home improvement stores. Speaking of the twine provided by home improvement stores, i would love to see a video on knots that work with it.

I use the truckers hitch that holds its own tension exclusively since I learned it 7 months ago. I can't even remember how I did truckers hitchs before this method. Was putting a tarp over my trailer 2 days ago and thought of your video. Now, another tool for the tool box. Would you research your locking method with more loops for mechanical advantage?

Great content. I have a question. What solution do you propose if I would have to put a rope between two pipes that are concreted in the ground. The rope must be very tight. On the first tube I can use any knot, but what kind of knot should I use on the other pipe that has to tighten the rope?

With all knots and knotting it's trial by fire and sometimes we suffer with accidents (pallets going over,or things moving and breaking.....the worst is when a knot collapses into a knot that has to be cut, and we all hate cutting our rope)

do you have a way to create bicycle trailer hitch out of knots? Knot need be easily seperate f So the criteria is between 1. bicycle lower frame flat bar, the one holding the rear wheel. 2. trailer end has 3/4 inch alum round tube, nothing else.
