Band of The Scots Guards leading the Old Guard back to Buckingham Palace.
Band of The Coldstream Guards leading the New Guard to Buckingham Palace.
Band of The Coldstream Guards leading the Old Guard back to Wellington Barracks.

Weather got a bit cool towards the middle of the event (quite a contrast to last year but I was glad that there would most likely be no one fainting)but did nothing to spoil my delight at being there! 😊

Bugle is a tough instrument to play. It takes a lot of practice to get good. One reason the Royal Marines Buglers are almost flawless when they play.

10.35 Is that the f word i heard there. Good old SMs adopting their traditional mr angry persona as per tradition. Much better than the "could you please hurry up and get in line gentlemen please" wimp version. Discipline gentlemen discipline.

@@MikeM14-40 Yep your probably right. Hes more likely to keep any obscenities for less public occasions. Officers on parade there too. Trust me, a typical working class oik to notice and pick up on it tho.

its not white, he is a staff officer, he is also a Grenadier Guard.

@@PhilHunter-de6zi Looks white to me. No biggie. Obviously he is on good terms with the RSM. I was a US Marine. Everyone wore the same color shirts. Officers had better material, but the colors matched those of the enlisted. Staff NCOs could wear officer material uniforms if they wanted to pay for them out of pocket.

Looking from the epaulettes he's a colonel, most probably a staff officer. He's wearing a No.14 dress which include the white shirt.
