There is no longer a room bonus because of the two science buildings (i think, because you said it was the science lab, that means we both removed 1 of the 2 science objects in the room, i tested this and it is true.). I removed the telescope in mine and it still works. So it kinda depends on what you want, if you wanna explore space take the telescope, if you are starting orange science put in the orbital lab.

who ever comes even later, telescope and industrial gas output is now industrial buildings too. sad

If you filter by O2, then you run the risk of dumping O2 into space if the docks are full, which definitely can't happen his way. There are ways around that too, but they do get a bit more complicated.

@@tejing2001 I will have to check one of my saves but I believe it is using his older double bridge method where the main bridge sends air onwards into system. A second bridge is added on so that if the intake pipe of the main bridge ever fills, it pushes to the intake of the second bridge where there is an air element sensor. If that detects O2 the automation signal from it turns off the pump. Once the pipe clears, the sensor activates again and the pump begins again.

@@Anshouguru Yeah, that works, but requires another tile for the element sensor. Tiles are in pretty short supply near the gas pump and atmo suit checkpoint. Another option would be to have the pipe continue past the atmo suit checkpoints and priority feed back onto the input line pre-filter. That way the pump stops due to a backed up pipe if the atmo suits fill up, while gas keeps flowing past the filter. This still leaves the problem that the co2 stops being filtered out if the dupes aren't making use of the atmo suits, however. All told, I suspect Francis' approach is the most practical.

Ohh yeah... now that I think about it that might not be everyone's default way of doing things. It's just most of the stuff you do on the water planet is well below the surface so landing beneath the surface just makes things easier.

I had a few issues with the gas and liquid vents on landing, sometimes the liquids/gasses would not exit when the rocket was landed. Other times instead of exiting out the vents I created it would simply vanish into the background of space for some reason.

Because if you fill up all pipes behind this passive filter (when docks are full), no more oxygen will be allowed in pipes leading to atmo suit docks and will start to get pumped out of module same way as CO2.

I try to avoid some types of cheese as a preference, I am ok with overwriting gasses with another though so I'm no saint. It's about what you think is the right way to play at the end of the day.

That would break the bedroom and bathroom stopping them from giving their stress bonus. On the hardest difficulty that bonus is a critical piece of the puzzle. On lower difficulties, you could probably get away with that loss. In addition, the first iteration of that room has the two wide toilet, which needs both tiles beneath it for it to function. The second iteration, when he changes to the wall toilet, he puts the oxylite chest on that tile. Lowering it two tiles would leave the oxylite chest floating in space, and unable to be filled.

@@jasonknight3436 why would that break the bathroom? the room would still be the same size, just a different shape. and there already is one container in the bathroom, so a second one shouldn't break it either. i meant the tile at the top of the room, that blocks radiation, so how could that break the bedroom if nothing changes in there?

If you stop using the pump, because of a filled O2 pipe, you will accumulate CO2 when nobody uses atmo suits. This might also bite this design of Francis...

Yeah, you would need a vent in addition.

Most rockets are non buildable out of raw ores, so it mostly comes down to what fuels you have available. CO2 is a popular starter, I prefer steam myself. It really just depends on which you are more comfortable working with.

Oxylite will only pressurise up to 1.8kg, I have waited plenty long before and still got puffs of Chlorine so I worked around it.

@@FrancisJohnYT yea, that's where the extra infrastructure comes in. I run a pipe into my rockets from my base O2 supply and fill it up with O2 before I do anything else. But I get that may be more hassle for some people than just clearing it out later. To each their own.

I usually try to cover anything I feel need a tutorial if you got any suggestions. Though I tend to avoid stuff that is way to complicated like sour gas boilers, that kind of stuff is so end game the person doing it will not be needing a step by step.

Yes, you need a gas storage module on the rocket, you need to fill the module using the gas loader, then you access it in the rocket with the gas interface thing that attaches to the walls of the rocket.

I know it's been a while, just had a quick check and June was the last time I played. I have been keeping an eye on it but they don't look to have added much in the last while just that dream machine stuff. I hope just put out some more material for it but I can't see them doing that with such a small team.

I left it out of the build until the very end, you don't want your capsule builders dropping their suits every time they enter to build a pipe or stock the fridge.

Oh you can put lots of stuff from the niobium planet in there, it's just you won't be putting any living things in there with it ever again 😁

First build something with the niobium so the temp wil be reset to 45c. Then load it onto the rocket
