Every manufacturer makes lemons unfortunately. I've had this same generation Polo GTI since before Muzi had his and it hasn't given me a single issue since day 1.

That’s true Daniel SUV’s have really taken over South African roads , we are starting to see more SUV’s like the VW T-Cross , Haval Jolion , Chery Tiggo 4 Pro , Ford EcoSport , Kia Sonet and less hatchbacks these days.

@@x2squared Without a doubt the 180 HP Polo GtI 1.4 was a good vehicle...but don't just look at the 0-100...the new Polo not only has 27 HP more...it's also heavier, it has new anti-pollution regulations , new heavier anti-intrusion bars ... and then if you go to look at the acceleration data you will see that from 0-100 it takes half a second ... which however become about 2.3 seconds on 0-160 to get to almost 8 seconds on 0-200. And in the various test circuits the 1.4 GTI Dsg ran an average of 4 seconds slower. (Zerpefs site performance comparison archive)

I recently had a 2012 golf 6 cabriolet I bought it from a none franchise dealership, may I tell you it was lemons on lemons, I had insane interests rate for the car l, sooo the car I bought it for 159k and I was paying 4.3k for it, it was my first car I bought for myself and a life line lesson had it for 1yr full the car was recently written off I had to do something to save myself because it was having problems each and everytime
