Snow Removal Road Operations With Caterpillar, John Deere And Kubota Equipment

Snow removal road operations in Ottawa Canada are never ending, which is ok👌 with me. Here we have the stars of the show, a pair of John Deere 770G Motor Graders plowing snow at a dizzying pace. A Kubota M8540 Compact Tractor zipping around collecting all the snow the big machines miss. And of course the Caterpillar 950M Wheel Loader equipped with a Larue D60 Snow Blower and its army of dump trucks. Definitely being paid by the hour. Mostly saw them move the snow from one spot to another.

i think what you mean is the waste of back and forth movement ... breaking up the layers of snow and ice from several storms....because going to the bitchimum straight off would be near impossible ... they have to find the curb etc.. drains, manhole covers .. that may have not been welded down ...

As much as people complain about the snow removal in Ottawa, they have no idea how good they have it compared to other places. Our snow removal here in Edmonton is atrocious.

City of Ottawa has a great snow removal team.

Yea but graders should be used after the first snow blow passes. Instead of graders they only need 1 john deere snow plow to get the first mound of snow for the blower. They should use the 2 graders after teh first run. Just look at Montreal video snow removals.

Bruce Kwak ? Why chains on pavement? If they’re 6wd they don’t need chains. And they need gates more than they need wings.

Why do they use graders instead of "regular" snowplows?

They are able to use them all year. The giant side blade swings down for a double wide pass. And lots of other tasks too. Thanks for watching👍

I can't figure out what the heck are they doing! Just moving snow around and not making any sense of what they are up to. Not in any hurry to get the job done anyway. They do make front plow attachments for those graders and save on mold board abuse.

The guy in the Kubota has no skill the grader guys I have no idea what they're doing they're just pushing snow on top of clean spots you guys aren't even working in sequence yeah that's that's the crew I want on my lot

Rick Underdahl did you watch the whole vid.... They scrape up all the LAYERS OF SNOW into a nice strip and then a SNOWBLOWER...picks it all up And into a truck😀
