What ended up being the issue? I love my gx160! I built it the first time with the original Honda block but then tore it down to build a fresh 168f short block with all ARC and Honda 163qx2 internals and a 168f crank. The Honda short skirt piston (t2) with the longer rod and the Honda 14cc head with 22# springs really get it going.
