If they fix this, I hope they finally add in a negative buoyancy solution. It's impossible to do airships properly without this bug.

Obviously its gonna be fixed soon, its a wheel that abuses its own suspension. But yeah i also hope they will add something to build airships without a constant jet roaring in my ears and wasting fuel. Maybe theyll add a helium option in the fluid spawner and it basically weighs negative.

@@connercurzio3645 Not really. You can make something hover and fly, but it's not an airship. It burns fuel just to hover and screams like a banshee.

Ah yes, the kraken drive has made its way into stormworks

every game has some form of physics glitch similar to the kraken drive from KSP, in this case, it's wheels and pivots, for scrap mechanic it uses suspension to create INFINITE ROTATION, and making creations stable at high physics levels.

I’d love to see this stay until we get some “Lighter than air” solutions for airships. Some other building games left glitches like these in the game and pretty much Called it a feature lol.

Honestly just keep it as a feature, this is the only way to have airships and anything cool, also it doesn’t seem to be straight up abused in any creations I see because it’s hard to make it work well.

I hate to say it but I think I started the steam punk airships with my Papyrus Mobile. Either way, I built it because of the career impulse shuttle.

can you maybe do a vid about how to make is hover at stable altitude ?? (also be able to switch between a manual altitude with seat controles and a altitude hold with a keypad)

In order for them to fix this, they would need to completely rework wheel physics, which isn't happening

This is just Baron Munchausen Physics 101, no glitch at all! More seriously, I hope this shows the devs the demand for actual "balloon" physics so they can bump it up the backlog sometime soon :)

Dear MrNJersey. After I added the gyro and add blocks, I did the logic just as you did, but when I spawned it in it went crazy, it started flipping around even before I got on the seat. I couldn't stop it either, please help. Thank you for your time.

Cheek your pivot rotation would match the example in the video. If your pivots are the other way around to in the video you’ll need to have the inputs inverted or have the left connections on the right instead. I made it into a micro controller and accidentally had mine set inverted ans mine did what it sounds like yours does. It’s working fine now

Didn’t quite work as well with cargo. It’s okay with lifting your own creation but there just isn’t enough power in the lifting department.

They already left it for about 2 years! Maybe now they will rush to fix this and other physics abnormalities.

but this glitch is the reason certain vehicles glitch out and start jittering around, its a real problem

@@apersonthatsucksatnames1133 agreed! It's a massive problem, amongst a lot of others. The Devs have spent long enough creating fake physics and bodging things. Now it's time for them to make thing work correctly! Like grip, buoyancy, liquid density, aerodynamics etc.

@@TheSd1cko yeah and just recently I tried to spawn a boat with some modifications and it flipped out making it *unusable* and I couldn't put it back in the workbench cause it was too high up in the air, so in career mode that boat is just gone, wasting all that money and time

@@MrNJersey Its not important, what you said in outro. You publicly demonstrate how to use bugs, and novices which looks your channel where is a many good guides, will use the bug in the game. I consider that bugs must be reported to devs for fixing it but not demonstrated to all how to use it .

@@ENZOakaGerald this bug was reported months ago. As for fixing it, it's not a priority. The buoyancy and aerodynamics bugs with the pivots are far more disruptive.

the problem with using a glitch like this is that its a real problem and developers have to fix it for more reasons than just the vehicles, so comments STOP TALKING ABOUT USING THIS
