When Nancy visits, China is TRIGGERED, and this sets of a sequence of events and negotiations that take China, Taiwan, and the rest of us on a trip down memory lane through China and Taiwan's rocky history...
In the 1920's, the two major powers in China- The Kuomintang (KMT) government of the Republic of China, and the Chinese Communist Party, teamed up to fight warlords in the country- this was called the First United Front. But each had their own interests, and eventually, as the right-wing of the KMT grew in power, the KMT began a violent purge of the Communists from areas under its control. This started a civil war which (with a notable pause which we get into in this video!) lasted all the way through World War II and Japan's invasion of China, until 1949 when the Chinese Communist Revolution forced the leadership of the KMT out of China to...

I'm from Taiwan, and I think your analogy is quite appropriate. But the debate about who is the real China was Taiwan’s claim in the last century. Now no one would think of themselves as Chinese. Most people think of themselves as Taiwanese.

@@user-jr2fe4fv4q 台湾可以是台湾人，毕竟在大陆里有广东人，广西人，黑龙江人，浙江人……。唯独你们不可以是有美军进驻的台湾人，如果说以前是争谁的方法好，用什么方法、制度来建设中国，两种不同的方法必定会有不同的受益阶级，而争这个没什么好说的，但这就是大陆和当时国民党之间无碾压实力时双方和平的基础，战争还是内战，中国放着现在快速发展不要，跑去打台，台放着发展不要回来反攻大陆？但现在的台湾，已经是要分化出去，连当时国民党时期的独立话语权都没，大部分听令于美，而美又可以借助台湾直线威胁中国华南各大经济地区的安全，连累南海，太平洋的经济资源全给美和其他人，那你说，你是大陆人的话，应该如何做？要么让台不分化，至少还是一个中国下的中国人，真到了台湾要出去那一刻，最好的办法就只能废了台湾，废的独立台湾至少不会有威胁，即使他会记恨，把原本中立和爱中国的人都推向对立面，但记恨总比肉疼好，已经是最坏的结果，美国无论如何在这场闹剧里都有已经是不败了的。我不管你什么人，但你至少不能是对我们来说是坏人。

没有所谓真正与虚假的中国，曾经两岸势力势均力敌时，北京与台北都在争夺自己作为中国的唯一代表，结果北京胜出，世界上绝大部分国家包括联合国承认北京作为中国的唯一代表并拒绝两个中国。现在台湾想独立，按照一个中国原则他们不可能建立第二个中国，只能新建一个台湾国，但是北京政府作为中国的唯一代表继承上届政府的国土，台湾也属于中国的一部分，所以北京方面说你也是中国

No here's some difference from a mainland Chinese's understanding. Even they're both government of Taiwan, but they're two different party which one welcomed Pelosi and another is not, and ruled in past years. Also, they're different in standing of "one China". They even throw Pig colon each other in their “parliament”. Taiwan is totally split already, and Pelosi only stand back to one of them.

At least this one respected the history truth. The sister of my grandpa went to Taiwan after the China Civil War because his husband was officer in the nationalist army. They come back to the mainland to join us every year between 1992 and 2019... Just can't imagine one family finished in 2 countries like this, and story of my family is quite similar to that of PRC and ROC today...

As a mainland Chinese, I'd like to say it's very hard nowadays to create a funny political stuff that can be enjoyed by netizens in mainland China, Taiwan and US at the same time, but you guys really did it. Your video showed a very important and easily overlooked fact: all the three game players, plus the rest of the world, are looking forward to a peaceful outcome of this so-called Taiwan problem. Knowing this fact is critical because it reduces strategic misjudgements.

There's something wrong here: actually before the Japanese war, the nationalists attacked the communists first. The communists were losing until the Japanese came invading China. They fought together and the communists became stronger. After the Japanese retreated, they fought again. This time the communists won, and the nationalists fleed to Taiwan.
