I'm going to go out on a limb here and state that Eddie Levert was the proudest person in that auditorium that evening.........with Smokey Robinson a close second. This was an absolutely CLASSIC rendition of Philly Soul & Motown's finest "Old-School" hits. I've never seen this video until now........it's made my "favorite" list.

Some where in our culture at the beginning of 2000s, we stopped giving our ELDERS their flowers while they are still with us. Exodus 20:12 12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee. I know my generation was raised by the village. There are many others like mine. My only suggestion to you all is to give your ELDERS their flowers while they are still living. Once they are gone, its too late.

What a fabulous tribute to some of Motown's greatest acts. Boyz II Men and Levert did their predecessors proud - their harmonies were spot on. The "singing" apple didn't fall far from the tree in the Levert boys: they sound so much like their father, Eddie, who is an exceptional vocalist. Too sad that Eddie lost both his two sons at age 40 (Sean 39).
