Luther Vandross covered it later. This was 1970's. We've Only Just Begun is another of their top hits. One of the best female singers ever and her brother Richard was a great composer/arranger/producer. He heard the above song on a bank commercial, called the writers and made it a massive hit of it. In their time they were considered safe, middle of the road, squeaky clean, mom and pop music, but they have stood the test of time.

Having said that, I don't hold it against Karen for not having a nasal sound. Since I've mentioned four, I may as well round out my Top 5 with Olivia Newton-John. Honorable mention goes to Tori Amos.

It's rare for a woman who has a deeper tone to become a frontman and not harmony. She was just that good. I have to admit 70's music is not my forte', although I can usually pick them out because of the flutes, electric keyboards (pre-synths) and horns, which are a rarity from the 80's on. Kind of a shame, really. Of course, it depends on the genre, too. 🤔😊

Love you Leo. We will never hear the likes of her again. Truly amazing voice. The drums were her passion. You have have to see her play. Her joy while playing the drums shows her at her happiest when performing.

It is hard to watch her knowing she passed a slow death. A lifelong struggle yet she has this amazing gift. They were popular when I was a child. Her death was hard. I was 18. My heart went out to her brother.
