This man sounds great. He knows what he's talking about. He's not stumbling all over the place. Thank you so much for this. I have read everything on Multiple Sclerosis I can. I was diagnosed in 2014. At the age of 50. I will definitely look for more by you here. I have a lack of desire to do anything. I can sleep 30 hours a day. The hard, alien, COMA sleep. Totally different than anything else. I take Modafinil. I take 200 mg twice a day. I need it three times a day, really, but I drink strong coffee to get through. I work at home and the Modafinil is the only thing that has saved my job. I need my job so I have the health insurance to pay for all this junk, and the circle goes round and round. I go to the other center. MS Center of Atlanta Thanks for the great presentation.

Thanks for this explanation I always said I had nerve fiber fatigue. I do better in cold weather and can walk relatively far but when it's warmer I can not walk that far

Have you also ever heard of Sjogren's Syndrome fatigue? I have dealt with this for a long time. It is quite debilitating. It definitely is a crushing fatigue that also involves brain fog and deep depression. I have noticed after my morning walk, when I begin to get tired, then follows the extreme fatigue and major depression. It never used to be like this years ago when I walked.

Is fatigue/lassitude usually an early symptom of MS (like vision problems or numbness) or does it come later as the disease progresses? Can you diagnose someone with MS solely based on fatigue as a main symptom?

I've had 4 neurologist treat my MS & HAVEN'T heard about the Amantadine! Are today's neurologists going to the same school or what? Can they try & get on the same page!
