Over the past few months, the online proctored exams have become the most preferred way of doing the MS Certifications. It's still the same exam as the one you take at the Pearson Vue centers, however this one can be done anywhere using the OnVue App on your system.
This type of test method is kinda particular and strict. And doing certain things can even get your test terminated.
So, how does it work and what do you need to know?
Here are some of the tips and suggestions that can actually help you prepare for the proctored exam. What kind of systems do you need? How fast is your internet connection supposed to be? Are there any breaks? ... and other questions answered.

FYI: do not read the questions aloud, you will be dismissed without warning... when your dismissed, it looks like a technical error, the program becomes unresponsive. I gave the 800 # a call and waited 23 mins for a representative to answer and that's when I found out my test was forfeited for reading aloud. To me, this is the easiest way to create profits, majority of people read aloud or talk there way through a situation when reading. This is ludicrous and I will no longer use your exam services

sir if in the middle of the test my internet connection gets terminated due to any technical faults. Then will i get a change to reappear in the exam?? I mean can i connect to the system once again?

I am doing proctoring from last 2 years in Pearson, everything u told was correct but we only allowed hardcopy of the goverment ID, softcopy are not allowed, only broadband,wifi or LAN connection is allowed, no dongle, jiofi or mobile hotspot is allowed, you cannot cheat for sure because we are watching u all the time and can get your exam to be revoked . If some of you reading this comment so maybe I am the same proctor for your exam 😉

If we have office laptop then will it ask admin access to run the software OnVUE before giving exam? Because I have completed system check test and software is running but in the guidelines it was mentioned that should have local admin access, so should it ask admin access while running OnVUE software? And one more question is aadhar card and pan card is enough for id verification?

If the software has installed on your system and its checked and running, then it should be good to go. Usually, the software doesn't install in company machines because of domain restrictions.

Hi Yathrath... It was really a nice & informative video and this will be my 1st time attempting the Microsoft exam... But I've a Question like are we gonna take the pics of our surroundings and workplace through phone or from our laptop as you've mentioned in the video that the phone should be out of our arms reach... So I'm a bit confused as I was thinking to put my phone out of my workplace during the exam....

You will take it from the phone. Once the registration is successful, then you keep the phone out. They'll actually instruct you to do so.

I have the following same situation in 2 laptops: Windows 10 (Home/Pro), the downloader (software to test) pass all well, mic, bandwidth and video camera. But always in real time when I try to start the exam the video screen is blue for the proctor, but in my side I can watch myself and even with the red text "recording". The 3 firewalls (domain, public, network) are down, same for the Windows Defender (own antivirus) all about VPN and Proxies are down too. What could be wrong?. Thanks for your support

Don’t cover your mouth during the exam This includes scratching your nose so your mouth is obscured, or resting your chin in your hand while thinking about the answer.

I flagged few questions for review ..but i couldn't see any option/button which showed list of flag review questions..it took my last 5 mins to search each flagged question and find out..I couldn't not unflag those questions bcoz test got auto submitted..I am assuming flag/unflag has no affect on exam scores..can u plz confirm these 2 things.. Did you see any option which showed you list of flag for review' questions and second if you forget to unflag still do they consider those in your total scores? Thankfully i passed my exam but I would have used those last 5 mins to review list quickly 😟

I don't think that it would have affected your test scores. If you answered the question, it will be evaluated. Whether it is flagged or not.

Internet connection test was fine for me when I did system precheck. However when checking in online exam network test failed. Reason: Download speed recommended now is 6mbps. 🥺 I had to raise a case and cancel my online proctor exam.

Does PSI or Pearson Vue Accepts PAN or Aadhare as ID proofs for Candidates Taking Microsoft Exams from India. If we don't have Passport or Drivers License.

Make sure chrager is connected and you have full 100% consistency before power cut and I would suggest to have 2 hr backup battery as well and wifi connected with an inverter is must

Aadhaar and voter's ID are valid too. In some cases, a credit card with your name on it may also be considered (but I wouldn't suggest relying on it).

Hi Dear! It looks like I can’t use my hp chromebook to install the proctor app, is that true hp chromebook is not comparable with the proctor system? How about on exam day I couldn’t install it? Will my exam be canceled?or resume alternate date for me? I have no idea, because it is my first time to try remotely proctor!

You can reschedule it and get a new date for the exam if you're unsure. I would still suggest sticking to a Windows system to avoid compatibility issues.

They can instruct you to do something, if needed. Only then, you can answer back.

Hi , could it be possible that some other person could give proctor Exam by showing pan card of the registered candidate ... Or do they check strictly the photos on pan card ??

Iam a Java developer.. And have worked on azure services.. Does having a az900 certification help in switching jobs?

If you're a developer, I'd suggest looking into AZ-204 certification. It's for development on Azure.

F this, I’m going to a test center. I move around and fidget like a suspicious mad man ever since I was young, especially when the exam is going well. At least if I do that at the test center, they can’t touch me.
